Windows Version Crashing (nothing to do with Multiplayer!)

Post by Bods »

After having had the DOS version of Transport Tycoon original, and buying DOS Transport Tycoon Deluxe about three years ago, I wanted to get the game running under Windows XP.

The windows version being difficult to track down legally, I downloaded it via the link on this site, and installed on my Windows 98 machine to give it a whirl.

Trouble is, it crashes every few minutes with no logical pattern to the crashes as far as I can tell. I wondered if anyone else has experienced this.

The problem is the same when I ran it on my XP Laptop using TTDPatch. I´m just playing solo with no multiplayer options.

Any ideas?

I had that problem myself. I downloaded the patch (no matter what Windows your using) and it worked fine. Also it fixes the music problem and about every other problem in the game.

I´ve tried it with and without patch on XP and 98 now and always get the same problem - crashing at random intervals.

Ho hum. DOS version will just have to be the one.

Try using Windowed mode on the Windows version. The problem with the DOS version is that it interupts my intetnet connection.
Thanks,
Adam Reece.
