Most of us never see the spams that you do, and would waste a lot less

I doubt any of the spammers ever read the newsgroups, so won't read any
of your replies to the newsgroups.
Ahh...but I'm telling everyone to report it. Even if they didn't see it,
they should still report it.
Act 1: At a local police station...
===================================
Police officer: Yes sir, how can I help you?
Man: I'd like to report a crime.
Officer: What sort of crime, sir?
Man: Well, I'm not exactly sure...
Officer: Were you involved in this crime, sir?
Man: Well, no...
Officer: Did you see what happened, sir?
Man: Well, not exactly. Someone else told me a little bit...
Officer: Someone else? Well, why are you reporting the crime?
Man: Because he told me to!
Officer: But you weren't involved!
Man: Yes, but I thought it might be helpful...
Officer: Not if you don't know the details of the crime!
Man: Oh. What now, then?
Officer: I'm arresting you for stupidity, sir!
Eddie, the point is that nobody's going to report a spam
which they didn't see firsthand. When sending a report, it's
customary to forward the original message - which most of us
never see! Besides this, your replies might include the
spammer's e-mail address, but often the only useful
information is in the headers - which your replies don't
include!
So, please try and resist the temptation to reply to the
spammers in this newsgroup. Try replying to them via e-mail
if you really must laugh at them - I did that and got a
sheepish apology back one time!
