I have a problem, TTD is an older game that only allows several IRQ ports
for sound, and my new sound card is not on the same IRQ setting as before
and everytime i try to change IRQ settings to comply with TTD audio setup
screen it crashes, has anyone else had this problem, and how do i fix it.
my IRQ settings posibilities are extremely limited but was hoping someone
had a fix/patch for this problem. Please help me out, this is not the only
game i have this problem with, also Microprose X-Com/Terror from the Deep
has the same sound configuration.
Thanks

Re: Playing TTD with Sound Blaster Live
I believe that if you have a motherboard with the
proprietary Creative 'SB-Link' then you can use
your card with legacy DOS support. The SB-Link,
while an admirable intention, never really found a
market and has pretty much died a death now I
think.
cheers...

Re: Playing TTD with Sound Blaster Live
I had a similar problem with my SB Live... no irq's left and SB16 Emulation
had conflicts.... changed one of the com ports i don't use to have the same
irq as something else and then set my sound card to the one i had freed
up.... then all ran fine
