I can't find anything in the OpenTTD Manual either about any menu option or keyboard shortcut that will let me turn off all the gridlines.
I know that Chris Sawyer put an option in Rollercoaster Tycoon to turn off the gridlines. So, I was wondering if anyone knows any hotkey in OpenTTD that will allow me to do that?
I'm talking mostly about any game that I create where I generate a Random game in any of the 4 Terrain types. But, anytime I play OpenTTD, I'd like to be able to turn off those gridlines, like in RCT. Even in the OpenTTD Editor, I can't see any option for turning gridlines off.
Thanks in advance for any help.

In OpenTTD, how can you turn off all gridlines?

Somewhere there's a gridless terrain GRF file. Go find it and use it. Once OTTD has full newgrf support, you'll be able to turn the grid on and off at will.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

DaleStan is right, I think it's on this site.
You then need to add the filename under the [newgrf] bit of openttd.cfg

...Synthetic Intelligent Organism Normally for Infiltration and Dangerous Exploration...
...sionide.net...
...sionide.net...
the reason that there's no option for this in game is because there are no explicit gridlines... the gridlines are part of the terrain graphics, so by replacing those you can remove the gridlines.

Thanks for all your replies & by the way . . .
I noticed that the gridless temperate .grf file on that website is for TTD. I take it that it's safe to use it for OpenTTD as well?
