Non-rectangular station?!?

Post by Uwe »

Hi,

I just discovered a very strange thing at a station (see pic). This station started out as 1x4 and was later lenghtened to 1x9. Now when I wanted to expand the station with an additional platform, I get the message "too close to another station". However, I can build an additional platform as shown, and I can also lengthen it to get a 2x9 station.

Additionally, when I try to demolish the station, I can only demolish the first 4 squares, the rest will stay and cannot be removed as "it is owned by somebody".

I'm using ttdpatch 2.0.1 alpha 49, windows version.

What does "Cht:ClearGhosts" do?
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

That removes the 5 squares that were added later. Lengthening the station again afterwards yields the same result, so I'll now try to completely rebuild the station and see if that helps.

Edit: rebuilding the station in one step (2x9) works, building it in two steps (2 short platforms that are lengthened) again yields ghost stations. Very strange...

Looks like a bug in the patch then. Probably introduced by the station overbuilding feature...

Edit: yep, its station overbuilding, it goes wrong if the X or Y coordinate of the station are near the middle of the map.
