Try to start game,error!

I have downloaded TTD from Owens website and also patch TTD. I have installed these and when I try to open game it comes up with Initialisation error- Error reading registry. Any Ideas welcome.

First try and run the 'registry editor' from here: http://www.ttdpatch.net/tools.html

Make sure that you are also running ttdpatchw.exe, not gamegfx.exe . The one you want is the TTD logo with a bandage over it.

I have instaled patch, when opened its comes up with
TTDLOADW.OVL not found, looking for original files, GAMEGFX.EXE no such file or directory. Could not find GAMEGFX. EXE
What can I do know?

you probably did not installed WIN TTD or you do not have it
try TTD Registry Editor (set directory, save and run ttdpatchw.exe)

I have managed to get it going, but have no vehicles. I,ll have a look at other peoples problems and see if there ia a solution. Thanx guys!!

What year is it?
Are you using new grfs?
if a < 1950 and b= no then there won't be any vehicles, TTDP allows an earlier start year, but classic TTD vehicles aren't available pre-1950. The solution is to download some newgrfs, the ones I reccomend are
TRAINS: USSET/DBSETXL
ROAD: George's New Vehicles
AIR: Planeset
SHIPS: MB's New Ships
STATIONS: USSTATS, PGS, NEWSTATS (v0.4 expected soon), SVLINE (Will soon be outdated)
BRIDGES: Purno's new Bridges
BUILDINGS: Zimmlocks TTRS

Thanx to all. Am enjoying the game again. Only for some reason I,m not getting paid when I deliver say iron ore to steel mill or logs to timber mill. The products are just stock piling at the stations.I have stations as close to plants as possible.Any ideas?

Hello!
Either don't use the 'unload' command, or deactive feederservice in the ttdpatch.cfg

That should fix it!
