[NoBug] - How to compile Openttd. (no free with gui)

Post by Horse »

I have tried almost everything but i don,t know how i must compile openttd.

My compiler dev cc++ can,t compile.

I have searched to MSVC++ 6.0 but they want 34 dollar before i can use.
that,s to much for only compiling because i,am using Dev cc++

I have installed cygwin, after hours waiting for the instalation it is only a console.

How can i compile open ttd for windows.
I have tried everything i can but i need some help.

Cygwin IS a console, it's a linux console on your windows box :)

There you get openttd svn source and type make. You could try MSVC.NET 2005 Express edition beta, that is free, but it has some compile issues, so you will have to figure that out.

If you know how to program I am sure you can also get it to work with DevC++.

Well I'm not a huge fan of Microsoft either but there must be a good reason if they don't let you download the service packs.

@ Jupix you are smart.

But is there a other way to install the MSVC.NET 2005 Express edition beta without the need of a service pack.

Or is there a good alternative so i can compile the game
