Station amount?

Ok so I've been playing with my friends for sometime now. We ran into the problem that nobody could build more stations. We only played about 30 years and would enjoy playing more. Is there any solution to this? Options perhaps? If no are you planning on implementing a system for larger amounts of stations?

Not 100% sure hmm this is 0.3.5 If its old where can I get the newer one? I'm quite new to OTTD, used to play TT and TTD when I was just a youngster

The newer version did not seem to help me. Neither does renaming stations.

You need to rename stations. There is a limited number of station names for a city in OTTD after which the game cannot name more stations. I can see you've got 'Annexe', 'Airport' and 'Transfer' already used up - try renaming them.

I chucked lots (26+) of stations in a city to test city growth in 0.3.6, naming them with letters ('Cityville A', 'Cityville B', ... 'Cityville Z') without any problems.

No, I think that error message means there are too many stations in use "on the map". Also, it has been stated by those users that they have *tried* to rename the stations to no avail...

Then you should use latest nightly. I think limit of stations has recently been raised to 64K

Well, 'Annexe', 'Airport' and 'Transfer' are in the OTTD station naming scheme, so I figured they had got it wrong somehow.
