How far is this project.

Post by Horse »

I,am very interessed in this project.

My question is how far is this project.
And are there any beta versions of how far is the game.

I read information about this game and in this topic
http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?t=2578

people made nice graphics but everyone mades different quality of graphics.
The one model is very detailed good enough for Trainsimulator.
I saw even a Train with interior.
And other ones are very simple so simple as in the old Transport tycoon.

What will be the standard quality of graphics in the game so you have models they you can compare with each other in one of the same game.

Maybe it is a good idea to release beta versions even as Simutrans.
So people can build up the game from the things you have.

How far is the game on the moment?
Is there after almost two years made something ore are there only great ideas and some graphics.
And maybe some scripts of the game.

Summary: Transport Empire officially back on the rails

Having disposed of our previous lead developer (who had some interesting ideas about 'teamwork'), we are back up and running, with some new devs, and a new action plan. Join in the discussions at http://www.tt-forums.net/ for more info.
There is no code writen exept some prototypes. As we will use the GPL licence you would be able to get the latest code.

In any hour Hyronoymus should anounce next meeting here on the forum. The meeting is on sunday next week (one week from now) 20:15 UTC on our irc channel.
My OpenTTD contributions (AIs, Game Scripts, patches, OpenTTD Auto Updater, and some sprites)

I hope the people will choosen Open Source, because there are a lot off open Source software with great succes.
I think about The Gimp, Open office and many other great programms.

I hope this will become a very good alternative of all the comercial products they made the last years.
comercial studio,s dont't listen to the public, and made very unrealistic features in there games.

I think it wil be take a lot of time before this game will be a succes but i hope it will goes faster and that people will choose one of the protortypes so soon is possible. Two years of talking and making this game have not made anything at the moment.
I hope that people can made choices so it will be a lot faster and that there can become a standard engine for this great idea.

As you can read, Horse, the game will be open source under the GPL.

For the others: I will complete my German 218 (it is nearly complete except the texturing) if there is a first Alpha. Maybe I will contribute some more DB and DR stuff.
Thanks to the cheaters, Multiplayer in ottd sucks.
