If to buy exclusive transport rights in city... Then on Oil Rig which belongs to city, will not be extracted Oil for you.

Bug confirmed. If I buy exclusive rights in a town there is no more oil delivered to an oil-rig.

Altough it is discutable if this is a bug. An oil-rig station does not belong to anyone, so your opponents could just as well take "your" oil while you have exclusive rights in that town. Hmm...perhaps the oil rigs should be excluded from the 'exclusive transport rights' affactment.

I'm not sure that really makes sense... you're not paying to only get freight at your stations, I would argue that the exclusive transport rights allows you to pay to be the sole transporter of the city's produced freight and passengers. As such, it would make more sense for the oil rig to only allow your ships / helis to load at the rig...

Yes. Even though you have exclusive rights you will NOT be able to get oil from the oil rig, because the oilrig "station" doesn't belong to you.

Do you mean that with exclusive rights the station does not let you get oil/pass at all? Instead of giving you exclusive rights, it doesn't even let you service it?

You can also raise some land and build your own dock/station/busstop/airport near the oilrig. That way all the oil from the rig is transported to your station, because it is really yours.

Because you cannot get exclusive rights to an oilrig as it belongs to nobody.

If I have read this correctly... you dont get served at an oilrig just because you DO have this transport rights, and because the oilrig does not belong to you it does not serve.
So this would point out that exclusive rights on an oilrig is possible but that would have to make the oilrig belong to you as long as you have those rights.

Yes, but wouldn't it be more realistic to be able to have exclusive transport rights on oilrigs? In real life its probably the same. Although oilrigs are owned by companies in real life, they certainly make pacts with transport companies. So it would seem logical to include oilrigs to the exclusive rights stuff... but make them serve the player, in stead of not serving them as it is now.
