[Request] Possible to alter cost of railroad track?

Post by AssaultHamster »

Hello everybody. I was wondering if it is possible to alter the cost of railroad tracks with Locotool. Does it simply involve changing a number in a file or is it more complex? I find that railroads are way too cheap. I would like to make the cost maybe 5x what it is now as a base.

I would also like to see a maintenance cost for rail networks, maybe 10% of build cost, but this is probably not possible. Or is it?

Well, the cost can be specified in the .dat file. Use LocoTools to extract the xml and change the building factor. the number you see isn't the cost, as the cost itself goes up due to inflation.

May be able to add a yearly charge, never looked at the file myself.
