why am I punished.. why am I suffering...

(DFW-Texas) Date of release for Locomotion got delayed ..again.. again.. to 10th of September!

*sniffs*

2 more days of suffering and waiting...

The U.S. release has been delayed? Odd. My German game vendor sent me an email today, saying that they shipped my copy.

Packages normally take one day from this vendor to my location. The German release is tomorrow, but I pre-ordered it, and that usually means that the vendor ships it one day prior, so that I get it on the local release day. They send the email when they actually delivered the package to the post office. In 80% of my orders, I get the games the following day. Of course, considering my lousy luck it will probably arrive on Friday.

Heh, I can wait an extra day (though I will be slightly peeved if the postman drives by without stopping tomorrow), but the Children of the Nile beta test starts on the 10th, so I'd love to get in a day of Locomotion before I get busy beta-testing for a couple of weeks.

Babbages and EBgames on the West Coast (USA) are both now reporting that the game has been "pushed" to the 10th.

However, Best Buy in Ohio and Florida has it at many stores today.

This is a very strange release.

I went to my Best Buy and it wasn't on the shelf so I went and talked to an associate and she checked in the computer and said it had just gotten there two hours earlier. She said she'd go in the back and look through the crates for it and came back about ten minutes later with a copy, so I'm gonna install and play it now!

I feel with you:
Here in germany some smaller stores seem to got it today, while the larger ones didn't got it.

Unfortunatly there are only the larger retailers in my town, so I have to wait one or two days for the full version

Saskatoon neither. They said it should've been here yesterday, then today, now it's "maybe" tomorrow.

I think somebody ought to find the Atari truck and check whether it's waiting at a blocked railroad crossing. Must be some competitor trying to bankrupt Atari...

I'm from Florida, and I got it today from Best Buy before it was on the shelves by calling ahead several times until they had it. It was on sale already for $24.99. Great game! I feel bad for the rest of you.

Finally got mine. Had to go to Best Buy three times today.

First time was just checking, though website said no.
Second time the website said yes, and i got there and they said no.
Third time I ordered for pickup in store, got email saying I could pickup an hour later than I was last there. Got game this time

....
