Servicing after 2090

Post by mdhowe »

I've been placing depots in my trains orders instead of using auto-service which was working quite well until I reached 2090. Now they will just not follow their orders, they skip the depot order everytime. Whats going on is this a bug or is there something I'm missing :?:

It's a known bug, apparently.

I once tinkered with the code because it's a hard-coded limit from what I can tell and managed to get it to go past 2090 (I set the relevant things to 3000, there were several hard-coded references to 2090 and 2091) and it seemed to all work but I don't know if further problems would present themselves at later dates.

If there is no other reason for a hardcoded limit, could the OTTD team up it a little? 2090 is easily reachable. At least it should end the game or something if you don't want people to be able to just take forever at a game, or just carry on regardless.
