[Developing]Finnish Set, Taster Released
Moderator: Graphics Moderators
Links have been updated: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?p=173712#173712 . Also 2 new coaches. Also i talked with Purno, and we came to the conclusion that there are to few wagons avaible to draw, and more would be hard to find, and many people want to use the cargo-set or eny other set that features new wagons. So the Set Will only Feature Locomotives & Coaches. Also that way people who want to play with Ai won't be screwed over, and there will not be complications when coding wagons, wich reduces work-load. Note:The Intercity coaches are practically purno's, i only recolored the eifet march wagon he drew)

OK folks!
Here's very useful links to the train simulation page; http://olli.keski-rahkonen.com/makasiin ... locos.html Those are 3D animations of real trains.
I think that whole site is a jackpot to the drawing artists; http://olli.keski-rahkonen.com/makasiin ... index.html

First link says that SM-1 would be SM-2, when it is a SM-1Petaja wrote:OK folks!

Actually the coach with the red stripes is a restaurant van.
There's no big differences between I and II class coaches by outside.
Smoking places are located to the coaches near restaurant, but by outside you can't tell wich one is the coach with the smoking closet.
About those SM 1 and 2 I can't tell more about, but I quess theres possibility that page maker has done the error.
I'm not sure, but I think that SM 1 is a same train that SM 2, but SM 2 is repainted and also fixed by inside...

Re: Suggestion list
I call it a SM-1, also The Set Will not feature Freight Wagons, and look the the third page, it got a table what needs to be done and what is done, and the set will not feature vehicles after 2005(Dm-12 is a expection). The quote above contains what will apperear in the set(i will add what isnt already in the third page of thread list). The Freight Wagons will simply come later & as optional addon. [edit] the list in 3rd page is updated once again http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?p=173712#173712Jpl wrote:I suggest which types a Finnish trainset should have, years of availability and type:

They look very good, especially the roofs, but there are some errors:Jpl wrote:I have made a trainset: Hr11, Dm4 then wagons KCik, KEis and KEi
- You must see the roof in _ views. The roof normally is 4 pixels in height.
- You didn't draw any backlights
- The shading in the roof in \ and | views is wrong. In TTD light comes from the rights. You can't just mirror / and \ views, unfortunately
- No shading effects: The left side should be somewhat darker than the right side in / and \ views.

I wanna draw the SM4, I looked for a good picture, I found it (see below). But, it's too long for a railbus, but I can't see that it are 2 coaches. What is it? Does anyone has a good sideview of this SM4. It seems like one thing, but it's too long for that.

Yeah I know that, I saw the panto's. But is it 1 or 2 'pieces'. Do you have a clear picture from the side of the middle piece somewhere. I would like to see it more detailed.Akalamanaia wrote:SM4 is a EMU

In TTD it would be 2 pieces.
Due to it's size. (cut it in half.)
Also I see a small section that looks like a split point on the photo...
(Another SM to code...)

Hmmmm have you forgot the Pendolino you started?(SM3). And Singaporekid you could draw atleast somekind of Tender for The HR1 so somekind tender will be avaible if someone wants to code it. Also heres pic for the Tank engine, shows all the wheels clearly: http://www.railfaneurope.net/pix/fi/ste ... ank-jp.jpgAndrewA wrote:i wonder how many more times someone'll ask that before we finnishkrtaylor wrote:I couldn't resist asking if you had any idea when this set was likely to Finnish.
