Toyland isn't a climate, it's a mistake.
Everyone has a photographic memory - Some just don't have film
No matter how hard life gets, remember there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Let's just hope it's not a train.
Looking better! I'd suggest texturing the grass and the windows too. And perhaps there's some details you can add to the grass, such as flowers or trees.
i think ill leave the windows as they are...until they actually do pose a problem anyway
as for grass...ill do that as soon as i can...then theres flowers trees and so on...ill consider them

Much better! I prefer the 4th building from top to right. The windows are more distinctive, (is that a word??), yet not "stealing" the impression of the building in whole. The last one, the 5th, have windows that sticks out too much! Again, my personal opinion of course. That doesn't mean the 5th building isn't as good as the 4th. They're equal in quality as far as I can tell and judge, but the windows on the latter fits an office building more then a residential one!
that sounds about right, i guess ill keep those windows for another building , ie. a modern office block
im currently mentally planning anew HQ, a really big one... the full 255 pixels!
anyway, i appreciate the comments and i will soon upload my building sprite, a mockup, and i will start on the construction sprites
question: how many construction stages can i have?
