Anyhoo, Baden is insane, I do like the connection between the two parts of the station though, a nice organised mess all round really.

What's that funny curl between Frankfurt and Remscheid?

There's a rather steep hill to negotiate!

Re: [TTDP/OTTD] Ameecher's Screenshots
The rather messy approach to Hamburg, it works quite well though. In recent times the ancient truss bridges that used to carry the mainline before it was closed in favour of a more direct route were put back into frontline service when local services from Trier were upgraded and the number of trains from the Jena direction meant that crossing paths on the flat was inpractical. This is the result:

Re: [TTDP/OTTD] Ameecher's Screenshots
I like, reasonably grandiose but not too outlandish, a near-perfect combination.

Re: [TTDP/OTTD] Ameecher's Screenshots
Cheers.
Firstly Oldenburg. The line here was upgraded to 4 tracks for a brief distance back in the 60s but in the early 90s it was realised that this wouldn't be enough to cope with the passenger numbers that were rising fast. A high speed line was built on a roughly similar routing which until recently by-passed Oldenburg but with a change in demand and a re-drafting of the timetable new platforms were built at Oldenburg and the majority of HS services now terminate here with a few continuing on to Muenster. Express passenger services on the mainline have almost disappeared due to the ICEs on the High Speed line but a few remain in the shape of ICE-TD DMUs that run to Mannheim. Everything else is run by a variety of trains limited to 100mph including BR112s, BR181s, BR120s in push/pull mode with bi-levels and various other electric stock that can be found kicking around. Muenster is the terminus of the line through Oldenburg. Previously more important than nowadays due to the vast amount of trains that used to run here. In recent times the number of services has been reduced in part to the HS line but also as a result of the increase in Oldenburg as a major destination meaning more trains terminate there than continuing on to Muenster. However it remains important as a hub to local services and still retains links to major cities via the HS line and the frequent (although less so than before) expresses on the mainline. There is also a shuttle service to Oldenburg to link with the array of services on offer from there. Curiously this shuttle service is the only electric hauled service aside from the High Speed ICE-3s to serve Muenster, the rest being mainly veteran BR218s on locals. The catenary remains from when BR120s and 103s ran through from Baden on expresses and BR181s on the semi-fasts.
The station is seen here during the morning peak.

Very nice and in some instances I would even go so far as to say amazing. Somehow you manage to make very complex station throats but they never appear overly cluttered with switches and cross tracks.

Excellent work, all looks pretty neat and natural. I will eventually get round to posting some of my current game as I have some fairly nuts stations too.

Re: [TTDP/OTTD] Ameecher's Screenshots
Nice work again Ameecher! It looks really realistic.
But when I use the depots as you use them at 'Oldenburg' my trains always go to there and when they go out they are lost.. How do you solve that?

Re: [TTDP/OTTD] Ameecher's Screenshots
Er, I turn off breakdowns and servicing. Depots there are purely cosmetic, I built them to fill the space rather to build trains. I generally build trains at a few depots across the network where I have a load of old locos and coaches kicking about so that I can reuse them.
Anyway, thanks all

Re: [TTDP/OTTD] Ameecher's Screenshots
Right let's get these new shots going...
Don't ask me how the towns are pronounced. The Czech town names seemed like a good idea until I tried to read them and use them as reference. Oh well, makes a change!
The Main Station of KHT. No doubt changes will be needed in the future! Nentoburk, a busy through station which sees quite a lot of freight too. Znojomo is a small hamlet that serves more as a place to loop freight trains than as a passenger destination. Here a BR150 purchased from DB is on trial, it has just set off from the loop line after the mail train overtook it on the central road.

Re: [TTDP/OTTD] Ameecher's Screenshots
Many nices, I can see that main station becoming quite mental in the future. And I see you're not using your own depots for once

Clap Clap Clap. Very impressive.

Re: [TTDP/OTTD] Ameecher's Screenshots
I suspect it will become very busy, yes. As for using my own depots, I use them later in the game. Looks pants to have them about early on in games, I feel.beeb375 wrote:Many nices, I can see that main station becoming quite mental in the future. And I see you're not using your own depots for once
Re: [TTDP/OTTD] Ameecher's Screenshots
Looks very nice, as usual!
I am curious what train it is in the first picture, in one of the top terminus tracks. It is a DMU I believe, but I haven't seen it in DBSetXL. (Probably not looked to good)

Resistance is futile!!
Re: [TTDP/OTTD] Ameecher's Screenshots
It's from the CSD set which I'm using in conjunction with the DBSet on this game. It's rather good but not quite to the same quality as the immense DBSet, of course!
Thanks all for the comments.

Great shots. Very interesting combinations of the DB Set and the Czech Set.
