Don't go to the Carnaval Festival. I've been there a few months ago and still got that tune in my headIllegal_Alien wrote:Well, this monday i first gonna visit the themepark you NEED to visit if you are in The Netherlands; De Efteling
To bad that De Vliegende Hollander isnt finished yet; and besides that Caraval Festival and Monsieur Canibal are both of those tunes you dont get out of your head. But Villa Volta has got one of the best music i ever heard in a themeparkPurno wrote:Don't go to the Carnaval Festival. Fahrzeugtechnik Dessau supplies new PROTOS regional train to Connexxion
The Dutch transport company, Connexxion, has ordered 5 of the newly developed PROTOS regional trains from Fahrzeugtechnik Dessau.
The PROTOS is an electrically or diesel-electrically powered low-floor regional train with a top speed of 160 km/h. It can be built in 1, 2, 3 or multiple sections, and the design is flexible with regard to the type of power unit and internal fittings.
This order was for 2-section electric trains. They will be put into service on the Ede-Wageningen-Amersfoort route from September 2007.
The PROTOS rolling stock concept allows great diversity in the design of the interior.
In each carriage, there is an extended low-floor area. The interior is free from barriers, and can be freely configured for different uses.
Fahrzeugtechnik Dessau's new PROTOS train will be presented to the public for the first time at the international "InnoTrans" railway vehicle exhibition in September 2006.
I hope so too...Illegal_Alien wrote:I thought that the VIRM (Newest Bi-decker) was the last one, designed by the NS. But i still hope that there are tiny things who still say; Hi i am a dutch train.
Admit, the interior was the best ever made.Toni Babelony wrote:Admit, the Railhoppers were totally crap.
Hmmmm - probably the best NS would ever do - 'cos they're rubbish for wheelchair transport at the moment.Illegal_Alien wrote: And the first and only one with wheelchair lift buildin: http://www.anpfotoarchief.nl/downloadpi ... p?id=59903
