Hi AvAtAr,

This is the normal steam as everybody has.
The only thing is that he has tweaked the switches a bit, so there is more steam generated and it stays for longer on screen. You can do that with the Patch.

I think it is the moresteam switch and it has two parameters... Try to check the Wiki-pages.

The patch allows you to add platforms next to each other, so just make sure all platforms are the same length and build 2+2+2... etc.

Excellent pictures from everyone, as usual. I won't name names because they were all brilliant, but I do like to see the US Set being used well! (The DB Set XL is a brilliant set too, of course.)

Dan, you should have reported those horrible alignment errors to me - they look awful and I've fixed them now.

Which ones? I'd reported the PA-1 horizontal problem, but didn't see any others.

The D&RGW PA-1 with a B-unit behind in the diagonal view looked dreadful and the S2 Northern was right up with its coaches, closer than it should have been. Anyway, it's fixed now, so don't worry.

Back on topic, here we have a rather overloaded oil station, where many trains load up for a cross-map journey to the only oil refinery. There are 16 trains on this route, but it seems like we could do with more, due to the massive increase in production at some of the oil rigs around here.
On the fourth platform, another train brings oil in from rigs further-afield.

I'm taking a break from the heavy haul of "Lumber Jack" and testing out my latest map. It's one that's been in-progress for awhile and was actually inspired after finding this page on the Bermuda Railway. I like maps with A LOT of water and A LOT of challenges ;) This one is no exception. "Archipelago" is located somewhere in the Caribbean with a few touches of Polynesia and the South Pacific islands.

The USSet or the Tropic set works well here, but I can tell you you won't be using those Big Boys or DD40AX's ;)

Below are pictures from a trip that was taken around the Golden Islands Archipelago in 1940. It chronicles the journey from the mainland to the famous beaches at Cocobamba. Air service on the islands is limited to Golden Harbour and Callao. Several more routes are being looked into however. Air travel is still somewhat in its infancy, but we'll have to be content with road, sea and rail for most of our journey :D

Enjoy.

We leave land behind and fly out over the Caribbean Sea. I've never trusted these things, but we'll be at Callao in an hour or so... I hope.

We arrive at Golden Harbour and check in at the airport. It's several days until the next ferry to the town of Callao, but only a few hours until the next plane arrives. After eating lunch at a cafe under the palms, we board our DC3 for Callao.

We arrive in Upper Golden Harbour from the mainland by ferry. The journey was only several hours and was nice and relaxing. Our bus to Golden Harbour, a new Flxible "Airway" is waiting for us by the docks.

We roll over the small island in the middle of the San Juan bridge. This bridge was built at considerable cost, but was definitely worth it.

The DC3 gets ready to take off back to Golden Harbour and we get ready to board a bus to San Juan. Until about 5 years ago, a ferry ran between Callao and San Juan. A road bridge was built when the airport was however to get people to San Juan faster.

Whew, we made it. Below, I see the Callao airport. An old Mack bus on the run to the docks at Maracay has just arrived and we just missed a bus to San Juan. We won't have long to wait however, there'll be another one soon.

The buses arrive in the morning, and after breakfas, we climb aboard an older Mack built bus. You can see nearly all of Logan's Island in this picture. Until recently, the only way here was by ferry as well.

This island is the "South Pacific" part of the map, as I'm not sure if there are any volcanic islands in the Caribbean ;) That's why I'm a bit vague as to the location of the Archipelago.

Guano, despite its name, is a pleasant little island. Long before the turn of the century however, the island was home to several guano mines that shipped fertilizer to the mainland. They shut down in the early 1870's however.

Here you can see how Caldera Island got its name. the original road to the other copper mine was damaged in an eruption and a replacement road had to be built. The volcano itself is dormant... for now.
