But yeah, a latin american themed set would be nice with the subtropical climate. Though I must say: NARS does the job. And South American Renewal set? That doesn´t do well, abbreviation-wise.

Hi...
If I want Canadian trains, what have I to do?
I went on New GRF settings, clicked on "Set Parameters" and I wrote 3...it doesn't work...have I to download something else or I have to do something different...Please, help me...
Have a look at THIS POST. It contains a text file you can download of all of the parameters available for this grf. Hopefully this will solve your problem of getting to use the Canadian Trains.

Our trains aren't much differnt from american ones, same models, just differnt companies, builders, and soemtimes bodies (like a GP40W or a GP38-2W) We do also have a few unique locos
For each parameter to be set you have to add together the numbers listed for that particular parameter. If you do not want any parameter to be set for a particular group of parameters then use a 0 (zero) as a placeholder. Lets take the second set of parameters as an example - the ones that allow you choose which climates the set will be active in. If you wanted the set to be active in all of the climates you would enter a 7 for this parameter. That would be adding 1+2+4. If you only wanted the set to be active in the Temperate and Tropic climates then that parameter would be set to 5; 1+4. This addition holds true for each of the six groups of parameters. Add the numbers together in order to select which of the parameters for that group that you want to activate.

Here we have the official release thread for NARS2! It's been a couple of years in the making, and there's still a bunch more things we want to add. But it's playable now, and we wanted to have a public release to get some feedback.
You can download from the website here. Please read at least the pages on Requirements and Parameters before playing.
Let us know what you think, what you like and what you don't, what bugs got missed. And have fun!
I shall now hand you over to Dan to say a few words.
great set

Be aware that the instructions I posted above only apply to certain grfs. Each individual grf handles parameters in one of two ways. The one described in my above post by adding numbers together or with individual numbers that are NOT added together to enable parameters. Actually there is a third way but it is a combination of these two methods in one grf.

Nice GRF Pikkabird, but how can I upgrade to new wagons ? When the new caboose (with new high speed) get available, I can't just go to the replacement window since the old one isn't there anymore. Same thing when light passenger and mail wagons replace the heavy ones. I got to send all trains to depot to manually replace them. Is it a bug, or did I miss something ?
As far as I know, Auto-replace only replaces locomotives (I could be wrong, I've never used it). You do have to manually sell each car of your train and replace them with the upgraded cars. That's the way the real lines did it, that's the way the NARS does it
You can autoreplace wagons, but since the caboose and cars are generational graphics rather than vehicles with seperate IDs, they're impossible to replace with each other. It's not a bug as such, it's a feature.
