Although the longer on looks better, the short one is a really good second choice.
I've got the same problems with my loco's I hate it when I need to crop them.

It might just work. Doesn't look too bad I think. Maybe I shouldn't try to hide the holes at all. Will wait for some more comments.

CryingCorvus, that truck look great now. Not too much compromised.

Nice station, but I think the glassy roof fits the rest of the station building. The roof looks more modern than the building. I think a non-transparent roof would be better. Amazing graphics though, keep it up (all of you).

I don't think you should make the roof non-transparent. It looks a bit like the roof in this picture

I would suggest though to make the glass panes a bit smaller (add more rims, like in the picture) and maybe reduce the specular on the rim material, it looks a bit too shiny and "plastic-y".

Maybe you can make the color of transparent roof browner, dirtier.

Here is just a preview of something else I am working on... 2x2 rail station. All comments welcome.
I think I will keep the back-to-back steps for the tiling of the stations. I am starting to like it like that.
Does anybody how to keep the window roof semi-transparent ingame?
I take note of the comments above and will make changes, thanks.
The extra rimms on the awning make it look cluttered. mmm, what to do.

Second picture looks nice! Good job!

The first picture, same issue. The wall looks less modern than the roof. I'd say either make the wall more modern or the roof less modern. But that's just my opinion.

I think big station looks great. Mixing modern and vintage styles on trainstations is standard around the world but previous small station looks bit better.
What about mail trucks?

Wow, those are NIICE! Are they coded? I wanna play with them asap. :D
Suggestion: Could you make the logo on the first truck look a bit older?

Perhaps just a lineart of an envelope. i.e. a line rectangle with lines from its upper corners to its centre.

75% only all the stuff on the roof needs to be added and some minor details:

This two previews. I like them.
The 2×2 station should be rendered in a 1×2 tiles. Also, the roof must be rendered without the floor and walls. This can be done with some options in Blender that don't show elements, but They have shadow.

One problem... If I paint the mask on place with the white envelope it will stay white ingame??

Do company colour appear on greyscale?

And I see that my 3rd mail-truck is a bit longer thana half tile. Hope this is not a problem

yes for the extra zoom patch, no for trunk 32bpp

Maybe, it can cause glitches in tunnels, I made an experimental v10 extra zoom patch in the past that solved that, but it did cause other troubles, like in depots, in truck stops and in curves.
