Drive along some of those roads IRL, and you do find the occasional cottage lying around. True, cottages and not massive office blocks, but still ... ;)

Ahh, I've been hoping someone would recreate this map. It's the map in ttd that I played the most. The big open space makes making big networks easy. I'll dl it asap when I get home from work. :D

Thanks a lot.

Seems that people inside the cities of the scenario are addicted to sex because starting in 1970 and I´m in 1985 and most cities are metropolis now :p -biggest one 45k -

NOTE: Now the answer is in the correct topic; Seems I pressed NewTopic button instead of PostReply :p

Could be that the cities are pretty good serviced by trains and other transportations so commuters settle down? :)

well, that doesn´t make sense completely; becuase if a town grew according to that, another one should loose people...
So Sex is still my 1st option

I have noticed that towns grow far to fast in locomotion, and there doesn't seem to be a pattern to it. One town that i wasn't servicing grew by thousands of people in only a few years, but a town that i was servicing barely changed it's size. :?

One thing I have noticed though, if you build a tram route or bus route around the city, it will grow very fast (actually unrealistically fast)

After the breakdons issue (Now fixed by mods) this was my biggest gripe about locomotion. Maybe it to can be modded?

Back to topic: I've played it today. Starting a coal/iron ore -> steel -> goods -> city line. Plus a minor food service.

Ahh, the big open space really makes it easy to make real networks. :D

Yes, it is really easy making networks.
I made a big profit with a few tram and a pair of train lines. Then, when I had money enough, I built an underground train network, it really looks like a real one!!!!

If you're going to resurrect a 14 month old thread to slag someone off for not spelling towns properly, you can at least do the same yourself and get 'Weymouth' correct.

Just say NO to thread necromancy!

03 Oct 2004... see the little date at the top of each post?

Don't worry about it... it's just considered bad manners to bring back a post which is so old (people aren't still talking in it for a reason, usually) :o
