I have found servial errors with your tender for the hr1.
You don't keep the propursions the same.

this is the cause of my problems for the tender

[edit]
I attached an image to show the size you should be woking it.

It makes some views look too short / some views go through the carrages / wagons that follow it. :x

[edit #2]
In the mean time, I'll code some sprites that are 6/8 th's of the size, and align them...

See if you can make them that size... (use the red lines for the limits)

Good luck 8)

"You Should use" *KKHM* you got some nerve there, and the dates are staying as they were before, not changing them because of few enthusiasts cause i got these stats from one.

I will not be working on this set anymore because I have lost inspiration for drawing finnish steamers and also because the project leader is demanding too much from me. I will now go work on the dutch trainset, some random graphics and new industries for openttd.

Sad to hear that Singaporekid.

Good luck

Back to the set...

That leaves us short of someone to draw steam trains for us.

Singaporekid_92 wrote:the project leader is demanding too much from me
Sounds about right, Akalamanaia does demand A LOT from people. He just wants the set completed as soon as possible.

[edit #2]

Before you say Purno does more, Purno is 7 years older than Singaporekid. AFAIK

Singaporekid is 12, and thefore should be let off lightly.
Also, he did most of it... (just incomplete), but it wasn't up to your standards.

I admit to complaining about his tender for the Hr1, since I lost 4 days trying to fix the code when, it was the sprites wrong. :x

Maybe you expectted to much from a 12 year old?

He say "We Should", thats demanding not suggesting to me. I didn't mean to offend you but i said what i had in mind at the moment, i don't like when people come and drop something at my doorstep and command me to pick it up. Especially when he doesn't back his claim by some proof other than saying "i asked a few enthuasiasists and they said this and that"

The guy only offered us some info. That's good. Maybe he picked the wrong words, but he was trying to help us.

Akalamanaia,

He tried helping, maybe if he got some proof. Then him and jpl talked, we could work out more accurate dates.

(although he should word it better.)

[edit]

We don't know if ether one is fully correct though...

Sorry, yes I tried to help, my native language isn't English but Finnish and so I don't always know how to write it right. I did a lot of work to correct the list, and so it's not nice if you ignore it. The dates are from sfnet.harrastus.rautatie group, and you can read the thread here in Finnish.

You couldve just posted the changes, not the ones that werent changed, enyways here's what the other guys said supposed to be right..(they were really nitpicking thou, there only were 1 or 2 years diffrence mostly, only 1 had 10 year diffrence)

HV2(Steam)1919-1968
PR1(Steam)1924-1970
TK3(Steam)1927-1975
HR1(Steam)1937-1974
DM4(Diesel)1952-1971
VV12 Was Right
DM7 1952-1971
HR11 1955-1972
DV15 1958-2004(still in use)
DR12 1959-1990
DR14 1969-2004(Still in use).

There were only few 1 or 2 year diffrences in most, few had notable 5 or 10 years. But since we started to dig stats from the real experts, ill ask running costs and costs to buy then if they would happen to know a approximate figure. Sorry My rudeness before but i just had a staff member leave and your post was little badly constructed to my tastes. And you could've just private messaged me.

We need some trains from time period 2004 - 2050 in TTD. How to solve this problem, since we can't use real-life stats?

(Japanese MagLev in Finland?)
(German TransRapid in Finland?)
(Just some fantasy trains in Finland?)
(Using Rail, Monorail, MagLev, something else?)

That's not enough.

I once heard that you need a new train every 5 years. So from 2004 to 2050 that would be approximately 9 trains, IICC*

Usually total conversion sets mean they have their own style of play, that also means our set would be up to as long as 2030.(there are trains up to that period).
