Russell is maroon, half way between red and brown.
darken it a smudge and add random dark red pixels to make it look textured.

Im going to do some small, NWNGR style buildings for the set. Unless cornelius wants to do them, since he is the station master [/badpuns]

Heh, go for it ;) I'll try and work out how to code them.

One station design I definitely would like to include is the old Ffestiniog terminus at Duffws. I'm struggling to find a picture of it online though.

I like the Russell, too.

I wonder, that now the Nuclear plant has closed, whether they can either put the track into duffws, or extend the line all the way to old trawsfynnydd or Ffestiniog

Heh... I had a view remarkably similiar to that photo when I went climbing up there in the summer. Sitting on a ledge some 200 feet up and watching a train snake away beaneath you is pretty cool

is there any kind of list what you still need?
and finally, in Alpha 39 you can teach AI what track type, what engines, coaches, wagons, stations to use for what duty, so you could have AI using NG too :)

No there's no set list yet, this one is all quite shambolic ;) If you see something that we've mentioned that you fancy drawing, and it hasn't been done yet, then just do it!

The set will be all narrow gauge so the AI will use it anyway! But the new patch features are good because now the AI won't just try and use the Manx Electric trams all the time...

Also one of the patch devs is working on a new industries switch, and refit switch already can display diffrent refit options for diffrent graphics, i.e you can have Refit to Coal(Slate) (atm only thing thats diffrent is the graphics).

This narrow gauge is great!
Is rail tracks set finished?
If yes, where to download it?
Which track set is replaces (monorail or maglev), so is it compatible with electrified railways (to exist: rail, electrified rail and narrow gauge)?
What is maximum sprite dimensions (primary: what is track width)?
There are more countries where narrow gauge was (or is) in use. In Serbia there was narrow gauge till 1970's. Then there were dissasembled, and couple years ago one part of them renewed (Skoda Ct-2n '25-27' is now in use). I started project: Serbian rail set and want to include narrow gauge vehicles set, so track set is very important for my project. Thanx for help!

If you get just the graphics, you can code them to replace whatever you like.

Sort of. As it stands, my narrow gauge rails grf replaces normal rails in temperate and arctic (so you have ng, ng electric, maglev) because that suits the vehicle set I'm working on. For a version for release, I'll change it to work in all climates, with a parameter to select which track type the narrow rails replaces. Hopefully I'll get a chance to do this reasonably soon.
