Dutch stations set

Discuss, get help with, or post new graphics for TTDPatch and OpenTTD, using the NewGRF system, here. Graphics for plain TTD also acceptable here.

Then again, there aren't many one platform stations at all.
Sure, some of 'em are, such as Hengelo Oost and Almelo de Riet, but they have another platform almost directly adjecent.

Example with horrible graphics. >_>

That's what both Almelo de Riet and Hengelo Oost look like. So, in theory, two seperate stations, but close enough to only have one name (of course).

But I digress. It's looking very good. I like! =D

You don't have to build tunnels at single track station, tho you have to be able to build a half platform tunnel if your station is multitrack. Would be weird if you can't get to the other platform.

I coded the Hilversum station. I still think that some parts could use some texturing though.

Well, guys, i sure have to say checking the dev of this set is great...

All sprites look so recognisable:p

When you need another tester, please send me a PM, I'd love to do it!
(same goes for the Dutch Trainset...)

This is exactly what I imagined when i started drawing stations. Purno and Xeryus you have done a great job already!

Now i was hoping if it was possible to draw and code stations with the platform only on the right or left side. Perhaps even with a 'dead' track in the middle:

It'd make the set even more realistic. ^_^

'Cause, seriously, it's nice that you want to keep the game looking almost as the original, but aren't you contradicting yourself by supporting or making these GRF's?

Eh, my opinion at least. ^_^;

But, how would the "dead track" work?
Would that be a full platform too, as in it accepts passengers, or would it not accept cargo, like a regular dead track wouldn't? (if at all possible)
In any case, it'd be even nicer if you could set it up in various ways.

For instance, a two track/platform station would look like either of these two:

******* Platform (2)

or
******* (Oldenzaal and Nijverdal station would be good examples of this set up)
====== (I have no idea if other stations look like this at all)

It is possible to do platforms at one side of the rail. But should the dead track be a completely empty tile or a track that is between two tiles which both have a platform?
Caelan could you also post some finished platforms you have drawn, I'm out of sprites ATM.

So you can't be bothered finishing your work, yet you still want it coded? I thought this was a problem we generally only had with nob-heads like graphics_master/maley?

You should be happy that Xeryus is trying to enforce a level of quality amongst the set, it means that when it releases, it's not going to be just a collection of mediocre sprites, but something that will make people go 'wow', that'll make more people want to play the set.

Grow up Purno :wink:, you're above that.
