Aah. Black Friday.
When Americans, and several other countries, give thanks for all they have.
Then promptly bin it and get new stuff :p

I bought an electric tooth brush just now. That's the extent of my shopping spree on this Friday of the Black.

I bought all but one of the expansion packs for Europa Universalis 4 at 66% off, and I still feel like I was ripped off.

Yup. There are very small updates. I've frozen my game and kept it from updating about a year ago (before they changed how the forts work). I've considered updating now with the cheap prices but chose against it. EUIV is perfectly fine where I froze it.

EDIT: Or more specifically at version 1.11.40 which is after El Dorado but before the expansion "Common Sense". Not many features added after that appear very interesting to me.

You're just jealous they did a Denmark update and not a Sweden Update ;) Anyway, haven't bought all EUIV DLC either, but I don't see a reason not to patch the game nonetheless ...
Since I'm always playing MEIOU it's not an option not to patch anyway. Also: MEIOU 2.0. SOOON.

My friends and I are intending to switch from EU3 to EU4 for our multiplayer games so I needed to get the same expansions as everyone else. The game itself is great and there are plenty of nifty little features, but Paradox's business model kept me away fromit for a long time.

Sweden is OP :P Denmark does need a buff, so maybe the new update will fix that. It's a bit too easy creating a Scandinavia as Sweden and then battling it out with Muscovy/Novgorod/Russia for dominance. After that, the world is your oyster.

Almost called the cops on a Christmas Decoration.

It is one of those inflatable ones with an LED inside to light it up, and it is supposed to be a 3' (1 meter) tall Darth Vader holding a candy cane.
But being all black and wedged in between the building and some bushes it looked like burglar with a stocking pulled over his head. kind of creepy for Christmas.

And if it turns off and deflates, it will look like a road-kill black cat

I've had to spend the last 2 and a half hours transferring documents between Google Drives. Oh how fun that is!

I'd rather not, I don't have a drive that can read them  To be fair, it could quite possibly have been quicker

I never thought I'd see the day I'd need glasses and today is the day I start wearing glasses.

its a bit weird and while I don't need them up close (I have myopia, I can't see distant objects) I might as well get use to having them on all the time especially if I'm going to be working or going to school.

Nice, been there when I was 9 or so. At first I'd wear dad's glasses to watch TV and everyone thought I was just imitating him. I know exactly how you feel, it's a bit of a paradigm shift when you suddenly have glasses to wear all the time.

Never use them while looking at your phone at home or so. It'll stop progressing the myopia that way. But do use them while looking at computers.

I don't need glasses for close up stuff and I've seen people telling you not to wear glasses for things you can see clearly, like things up close if you have Myopia. I'm good with using the comptuer or reading books but I can't see clearly beyond 10 feet, past that I can only read really large text, so not even fairly large road signs are legible until I'm up close without my glasses.
