Okay, that sounds better
We could still continue drawing graphics and hoping for a coder... IMO

This looks promissing, but I noticed that it's mainly modern trains. If this should be playable, it should also contain more trains from 1920-1950
I recomment:
N (as big as it gets when it comes to steam freight engine)
D
K (they had 100 of these so they were too common to leave out of a set like this)
Triangle DMU (the bogie one would be really useful, but the "normal" ones would be nice too)
Personally I would have chosen P instead of PR, but whatever
Another important engine is "Marcipanbrød". They prevented closure of some private raillines.
As for cars, we need CL and it would be nice to have a CLS for MO (CLS = CL with a cab to crontrol MO)

What's with all those N, D, K, P, PR, CL, CLS, MO?
What are you talking about?

using the word litra tells something about the person, who says it. It's the official word and because of that, it is written in the books. Hobby people reads that and keeps saying it. Everybody else do not use it.OKF2000 wrote:Bjarni... remenber the it is litra some tring..

I can't remember hearing real life railroad people using litra at all. You will likely not hear somebody say he is driving a litra D, but he will say he is driving a "D machine"
Reading what I just wrote, it makes litra sound like a n00b detector. maybe it is

You do not have to have a coder while the trains aren't yet drawn. Almost all the Japan trains were drawn before we found a coder. If you have a whole set's worth of trains all drawn and just needing to be coded, I'm pretty confident you'll find somebody. Or they'll find you. Don't let that hold you up.

I attempted to draw and code the new S-tog EMU some time ago. (Sorry, can't remember the litra name.)
The result didn't turn out too well, though, and I gave up. I do have a few screenshots of the work lying around, but I'm not sure if I still have the drawings for the grf.
I'll try to dig it up after posting this.
(Cookie for anyone who can name the stations I took the pictures at

Your graphical work is not bad
, but why did you drew 2 coaches in 1 sprite?

Yes, I found it. Someone will probably have to clean up the images, or redraw them completely though. Especially the side views look bad. I don't want to work on the project myself, as I rarely play TTD myself.
Also adding two more photos.
Edit:
But it should probably be made with shorter vehicles anyway, rather than two in one.

The coaches simply are that short. IIRC, a single train-set of these consists of 8 coaches, and is just as long as four coaches of the old S-tog.Purno wrote:Your graphical work is not bad, but why did you drew 2 coaches in 1 sprite?

Rail wagons can be cut down to 3/8 length, except for the last car, which can be cut down to 1/8 length. (Maybe 0/8, but 1/8 is the smallest I've seen)jfs wrote:The coaches simply are that short. To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

IRL, why are they so short?
