Container Freight station and harbor
Moderator: Graphics Moderators
An excellantly done project!
I also have tried to understand the Wika manual.
It seems to be written more for those who know more
about programming than us. So it takes some
study and trial & error to learn how to do things.
Even GrfMaker is rather limited but it is getting
much better.
I would like to help but I'm still learning the basics.
I would think someone would help since your
graphics are so very excellent.

We need a volunteer. This dock is brilliant and I wanna use it fastest I canLancelot wrote: Now, about coding. There are two options, I could post all the pcx files and offsets that I used and wait for someone to code it. Or I could try to do the grf myself, which is going to take much more time. So, what should I do?

YES
Sanchimaru wrote:ISA, about the cranes, I was already planning to make the small cranes to be usable on track tiles too. However, the big cranes would require too much remodelling to make what you say, so I don't think I'm going to do that for the time being.

Ok, here's the archive with all the graphics(except the loading stages), in case anyone wants to do it.

Cool avatar too, Lancelot!
Now that you have so much progress on this side, I'm going to rework the original files: as ISA pointed out, I'm planning to allow the cranes (even the big ones!) in track tiles, and add some details: The station buildings will be placed in the back platform, rather than in the front one (the tall building doesn't allow yo to see the panel)
I am going to make the tiles a pixel higher too.
The work shall be done around theis week, so Lancelot: If you have any detail to be added yet, you can make it now and we can have it finished for this week

That's great Sanchimaru.
I'll try to do the loading stages tommorow, if that's what you are talking about. Perhaps I could do a few touch-ups to the shipyard too.
How about the dock with the tracks?

because in real floating docks, all the maintenance is done when the platform lifts up and the ship is actually on the dry deck. Just a suggestion, though.

"GRFMaker has no such limits
Theres such a thing as the manual NFO block for any specific new features that aren't integrated into GRFMakers GUI."
Hey, I didn't mean it was bad, I just meant I'm still trying to learn
how it all works!!
Theres not much to explain it. I down Loaded
the two tuturials by J. Vassie and had to get a program just to read them.
Note: for those who can't afford Word 6, get Open2XL.
Only cost me S&H. So I am now looking them over.
They are helpful!! I wish More help like this was available.

Interesting definition of 100%...100% Compatibility with MS Office 3.1/97/2000/XP- Save your work in .doc, .xls, and .ppt formats and move seamlessly between MS Office applications and this world class office suite !
I think they mean "100% compatible with the supported features of ..."
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

Lemme get this straight...
open2xl.net are hosting OpenOffice and pretending it's theirs??!!
How evil/illegal. (is it illegal? I presume so)
Yeah, you might want to get OpenOffice from the site of the people who actually made it. http://www.openoffice.org .
