I just discovered that RCT2 uses OGG sound files. Is this debate over yet? Seems that if they are good enough for a commericial project by the same author as TT then they should be the choice for TE.

Any audio (read: Not midi/mod/other such file) format will do me. mp3 has copyright issues so ogg is best. It takes me about 30 seconds to convert a few minutes of audio to ogg, so I have no problem with it.

On a completely unrelated note, I have a new sig. Rar. \o/

Ogg Vorbis can also give quite decent audio representation at just 40kbps. Try that with MP3 - I guarantee you that the Ogg Vorbis version will be higher quality.

We should use OGG for the music we distribute with it, but we should add mp3 decoding and whatnot, cuz I highly doubt people will want to convert their mp3 collection so they can get it in-game.

OGG is much better btw. We can use 64kb/s files and people will think it sounds great.

It sounds good 8)

Would also be good as some kind of an intro to another piece of music (it sounds like a song of which I have forgotten the name and artist, but what it was was kinda like this, and then it started a subtle rythm and it would slowly become a full song with more and more melody :)

This thing is either good for Arctic places on the map, and for Space parts of the map... I doubt space will be included, so arctic it is... (maybe when you zoom out a lot :P or when you scroll off the map -_- )

It was MrBadAxe, who seems to have disappeared now. So does Tok, sadly. We're losing talent fast here.
