Wow some week. First Oslo, now this....Oh yeah and Amy whinehouse is dead....
Re: Chinese High Speed Rail Crash
Turns out that it appears a power failure brought this train to a stand. So the obvious question is... What is the second one doing ploughing into the back of it?
Madness.
Madness.

Re: Chinese High Speed Rail Crash
This isn't good news if they want to build a High-Speed network.
Question I'm wondering is what happened to the signalling that should prevent this? Surely they must have some sort of system of at least the equivalent to ours.

Re: Chinese High Speed Rail Crash
Interesting reports of them burying the wreckage. Strange stuff going on...
Re: Chinese High Speed Rail Crash
Burying the wreck? Surely that can't be good for the soil or water-table if there's one in that area.
Re: Chinese High Speed Rail Crash
Whereas everyone else is wondering why bury the wreck? They've made no comments about the cause other than lightning halting one train and a second running into the back of it and now they're burying the evidence.Geo Ghost wrote:Burying the wreck? Re: Chinese High Speed Rail Crash
Well, I guess it was a victory for openness that China did not make this story a complete state secret. Evidently there is something incriminating in the wreckage; perhaps someone, somewhere has been doing a Lyle Lanley act.
Meanwhile. apparently China's bus safety record isn't up to much either. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-14247893

Re: Chinese High Speed Rail Crash
It is weird that they would want to bury the wreckage, mind you... say anything and you will drown in the shower or disappear completely :/

I agree it makes now sence what so ever. Unless it cut the trains power in that section an not further down the line, but signal warning in the other train should of been at danger surely?

Tapping into a rich seam of irony there.jonnie47 wrote: I agree it makes now sence what so ever.
