[OTTD] Jutland (Denmark)

I've begun making a scenario based on Denmark. Till now I've placed towns only on Jutland, and only north of Vejle. Since Denmark is quite flat and TTD isn't handling hills very well imo (you cant build tracks going north-south or east-west on them) I've more or less omitted them.

Apart from the lack of hills the map is quite highly detailed. All towns have populations approximately 1/10 of the real life versions, and there are a lot of them included. Industry is still missing though.

I'm not quite sure whether I'll spend any more time on this. Looking up population statistics of every village in Denmark is more time consuming than I had anticipated. I might if I get bored, but if anyone wants to develop further on it in the mean time, please feel free to do so.

Can you please post some screenshots, I would like to see your progress.
I think you should include the hills, all though they are not mountains

Hills would be a problem. The scenario isn't based on a height map, so I'd have to place them manually. Also I think most people would place a lot of diagonal track in this one, so the slopes would become a pain in the butt.

Wow. You have already been doing a lot of work on this map!

I think its a shame that you didn't used a heightmap, I think it would have made it easier for you to place the cities.
Still I hope you will finish this map, because it looks very detailed!
For this map, it would be nice if some of norway, sweden, germany and england was included.

I once found a list of city sizes on danmarks statistik, and I can send it to you on monday if you like.

I'm having problems with opneing your scenario. What version did you use to make it?
The error was "invalid chunk size", and normally its because you used a patched version of ottd to make the scenario. You nead a "clean" ottd to make a scenario

The list that I have on my computer, only includes cities/towns on Sjælland, so I dont know if you are interested in it.

Oh. Sorry about that. I added Kolding and Fredericia using the CargoDist version of ottd. Didn't realise that it would cause problems.

The earlier version in #1 was created in vanilla ottd 1.0.4-3 though. Let me know if that causes problems to.
