Those are fantastic! Well done!

Something not so impressive from me. But picking up the idea of showing departure boards, here's what London Marylebone's departure board might have looked like had the Great Central mainline stayed open.

Again, not a map but the departues board from my map in progress, it is taken from Waterloo and covers my current lines, which are currently the northern SWT commuter lines and the Waterloo - Reading service.

Since the last one, I have added the last suburban route north of the Thames, Waterloo - Weybridge via Virginia Water. As well as this I have added all the southern suburban services from Waterloo, to Woking, Chessington, Dorking, Guildford via Cobham and Stoke D'abernon, Guildford via Epsom and Guildford via Woking. As well as this, the lines to Portsmouth and Alton have been constructed, as well as the Guildford - Ascot via Aldershot line, the first SWT line which does not operate from or to London.

This is the map for a new game I've been working on this week. Lakeland & City is one of about a dozen TOCs I've got so far. It's all EMUs but there's fewer clearly defined hubs on the network than I'm used to. I think it's more Northern than London and the South East. Lakeland is a conurbation of 3 large cities (Winchester, Leewood and Winslow) and that's the main focus.

How did you get it to say different names of train providers. Is that with using vehicles groups or something?

Yes! I have a company called 'First', then I break it down into it's separate companies using the groups, Fist Great Western. First Capital Connect etc.

Actually trying it on my semi-fictional UK in US game right now. So far I have Virgin Northeast and Virgin Midwest, Arriva Trains Vermont and Arriva Trains Virginia, First Penn Railways and so on. Means I can have whatever companies show up as I want on my departure boards and more importantly...my trains are more or less in the same region according to their group.

I am using the cheat there...but you can do it all from one company just using the groups.

So it will show groups in the timetable as well? Thats good, because multiple companies would only work with IS. But neither patch is in trunk yet so not really A LOT of use either way, but something nice to look forward to :)

I decided to have a bit of a redesign, stealing some ideas once again from ZVV.
Things were getting a bit cluttered previously, especially the trunk-routes.

JGR, i think if i turned up at one of your stations to work out how to make a journey, i'd be a little overwhelmed!

Level Crossing, paint is cool. Nice diagram.

Compared to a typical real-life large area network, it's not all that complicated IMO.
As for it being too much, demand still strongly exceeds supply, and it's not perfect yet :P
I've added a few things since then anyway.

JGR, I think that you should separate those maps at this point.
Give trains their own map, and have everything else on a different map.

This makes it much easier to see where everything goes, and cuts down on the legend at the bottom.

Of course, it's your map, so who am I to suggest things? ;)
Looks impressive, though.
