Using the profits from its first line (and some reserves), the company is expanding. It now has two lines and two bus connectors.

This is the flagship station on the new line, with a bus service to Sadham.

The rather cheaply-constructed station in New Brenfingbridge. It was built like this after protests about disruptive construction work. :(

This bridge has been wrecked by a tornado. The company is hoping that the bus will not be foolish enough to drive off the bridge. :o

The company has entered the freight business, as well as introducing two new passenger lines. :D

The former Gunfingpool Bridge has dropped its bridge, and been massively expanded. The Desert Breeze, Swimmer, and Forester all serve this station. The uppermost platforms are for food and water deliveries. Also, the station tracks and approaches are now 50 mph track, to prevent trains from flying into stations.

A satellite view of the network (the Westerner, the train that goes to Bradhattan, is not shown). Feel free to request an area for an in-depth screenshot.
Some highlights include:
  • a single-track stretch between two stations on the Forester because of the proximity of a national park
  • Stations designed by different architects
  • expansion provisions in Dredingham
  • and more!

Lastly, a disaster has occurred. A train has hit a road vehicle, with 15 deaths. :( But the road vehicle was unharmed (you can see it in the upper left):

Welcome back!

More services have been added! :D

New additions include the Archipelago Ferry, serving Bradhattan Junction, and the Bradhattan Flyer, serving (guess where?) Bradhattan Junction! As a result of all these services, Bradhattan Junction is now known as Bradhattan Intermodal Terminal.

Bradhattan is visible in the third screenshot (no, don't skip, read the rest!:D)

First is a highway that has been constructed near the tracks used by the Desert Breeze (nicknamed Dessert Breeze  , official motto is "What a breeze!").
This highway is used by the Sand Service bus line. It does not have any rail connections as of yet, making it unusually unprofitable. Debate is ongoing about whether to build a new stop on the Desert Breeze or to construct a commuter line, making more stops, along the route of the Breeze.

Which one do you prefer?

For now:

Next is an overhead view of all services operated by Water & Co. Feel free to request area screenshots.

And lastly, Bradhattan, with the new patch by me installed (this patch is not released yet). It has signs to indicate track numbers, and the departure board shows which track the train is on (if it has arrived at the station). This only applies to trains so far, later it will be made to apply to most other means of transport. [Note: stations with only one track/bus stop/dock will not be numbered. Airports will not be numbered, because there can only be one airport per station].

Do you like it so far?

There isn't a need to number docks either, since there can only be one dock per station...

True.

Jacko: Suggestion implemented and patch expanded to include all means of transport.

Here is the new version:

Nice idea...adds a little more detail to the game. Could be useful for finding late running trains in busy stations.

I'm running the risk of being awkward...but I think the Buses should call at 'bay 1' or 'stand 1' rather than 'bus station 1'. Although I'm not sure how it's done in other countries.

I like it though!

Here it's called gate, but that can be confused with airports.

If I remember, I'll rename it to bus bay.

I have started a new game, with passenger generation rates turned way down, to be able to build a bucolic, single-track railroad.

First is a photo of the main city, with a major yard and overhaul shop. There are two trains in the yard, ready to be called into service if necessary. However, the company is not sure how it would fit so many trains on a mostly single-track line. For now, four trains suffice.

Here, a Rutlander to Ladhattan Ridge is departing Quarfingfield, while a Rutlander to Quarfingfield is approaching its terminal.

Here is the other terminal of the line. In this photo, two Rutlander trains are passing each other. The passing tracks are so precisely placed, and the schedules so precisely aligned, that trains do not have to wait for each other at all. The wye is used for turning trains around (in Quarfingfield, the depot is used as a wye).

Lastly, a cow has escaped from a farm in the area, and is now lost. Unfortunately, it pauses on the railroad tracks. Hopefully, it will leave by the time the next train arrives.
