More stuff. This piece is quite scary but interesting, maybe you could use it for Arctic.

Hey that would be cool if you could do Black And White style music
Depending on the place of the map that you're looking at, play certain kinds of music
DAMN IT I WANT THE STUFF THAT TOKARTTA HAS

GoneWacko. Making #tycoon sexy and exciting since 1784.
I know a number of the Lionhead developers via IRC. I can ask Daniel Deptford (LH Netcode guru) to have a word with Russel Shaw (LH music guru) and see if he can cook something up in his spare time. I wouldn't count on anything though. In fact, I doubt Russel has much time on his hands with all the stuff thats going on at LH right now and for the forseeable future. I may go up to their HQ to beta-test next year.
I also know a number of other musos who can help us out, but again, Don't count on anything. I can't garuntee anything other than my own contributions.
Also, I haven't formally contributed anything as yet. Once the game takes shape and work on things like graphics commences, I will start work on the serious stuff.

So the kind of things we need would be continent-specific...
American - Jazz, rock, etc.
British - Probably as above
Cold places - Atmospheric stuff - of which there's quite a bit floating around in this thread.
Far East - Oriental stuff
Latin America - Pan-pipes! Yay!
Africa/Desert - African drumming and atmospheric stuff.
I didn't really put a lot of thought into that.
Anyway, as someone has said already in this thread, music can be done at any time as it isn't really code-specific.

Tombe - I might give that the Tokartta treatment and make it hella atmospheric, if thats alright with you.
Anyway, I did some atmosphericish stuff just now. Its pretty much a live recording, hence the transitions are a bit rough and its a bit random nearer the end, but *meh*. Not bad for ~5 minutes work.
EDIT - Having problems with attachments unrelated to the space issue. Instead, download it from here:

Go for it. I think it's either in D minor or A minor (pretty sure it's A minor, but I have a tendency to write everything I do in D minor...) at the moment, if that will help with your key-leaping.
On that note, ambient stuff.

Don't worry, I'm able to import note data into FL Studio.
On another note, here's my current work in progress and one I would very much like to properly contribue once its done. Reminds me of SC3K.
