slowly does it

Post by scottishasttdx »

soon I'm going to release a new website, contains scenarios, saved games, hints/tips and, of course, my new graphics. I would apreciate it people sent me scenarios, saved games and their graphics to put up on the website.

Until then, go to http://www.scottish.as/ttdx for my scenarios/saved games

I'll tell you when, and what happens on the new site.

Hi,

scenarios and savegames : http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?t=192
Download which you like

Lots of pictures: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?t=1628
You can pick the nicest ones

All the graphics here: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?t=3125
If you mention the author on your website, I don't think they will mind (not sure however)

Edit: I hope you will work on the layout of your site :?

problems

Post by scottishasttdx »

i'm sorry about the problems, luckily the site will be replaced soon. The error on the main page seems to be related to the tools i used to create the site. As for the mucked up downloads page, i'ved tried viewing the page with several different computers. I think it might be something to do with your version of IE...I'll have more info soon.

Early stages

Post by scottishasttdx »

The site is now open...only, I'm still working on the main TTD page. However, you can still access my files in the download section. I should have the TTD page up and running by Saturday.

D E F I N A T E L Y needs work
I'd say it's an OK site if it weren't a fact that there are already 100 variants of this kind of site around... so I won't

From what people have told me, simple = better....

my site, for example, is about as simple as could be, because I don't wanna focus on the graphics and all, just the screenshots.

is you wanna to see my site, check my signature...

I can't see why evryone has to have a website? let's face the truth: They're not THAT interested in you, we all have our favourite sites for stuff...

Nothing personally...

EDIT: auch, that's was kinda hard....
EDIT: Make your site as one part, not a buttons part and a part of text, etc. Make it look like one Part, with evrything mixed in... uhm, look at some other sites, make it look like it is one site, one style, one... THING...
Everything is relative

cool Site...

But on the main page, you could do without the two links sections...

i mean, where you end with the links to downloads and hints, underneath you have webring... then updates, then links again...

How about just moving the Updates above the WebRing, and delete the first set of links...

(PM me for more advice ;))

yes, well I thought the page was going to take up more room than it did, and currently I'm working on the Transport Tycoon section and the Torpeedo forums. I'll get back to it though...
thanks!
