This is my offshore base



I guess the rough structure is about 50-60% finished. The buildings have nothing inside, two of them are not even lit inside (and I can't go inside unless properly armed). Basically the only things I have used are lots of wood and wooden axes, for torches I used mostly surface coal. The area partly covered with dirt is going to be a small garden (getting grass there won't be easy though), the open walled building on the right will be a wheat farm.

But all the buildings are going to have their purpose (except the tower/lighthouse).

How do you enter that flying castle? Portal?

EDIT: The above pic is built on medium difficulty. A creeper decapitated the tower yesterday, just when I was carrying torches to light it. I was very surprised how far has the explosion thrown some of my stuff from that height (9-11 floors). I actually found only about 50% of the inventory I had before

While screenshots made during night are very atmospheric and all, they do a p***-poor job at showing details.

It's a whole new genre...

But it could be described as "Something between LEGO on steroids and Ultimate Survival"
Plus it's fantasy.

and probably missed few

Nighttime: You fight the undead, skeleton, arachnid, explosive hoards.

It is a combination of lego and survival horror. Basically just a creativity game with monsters

Well, you have to craft tools, weapons, you can farm, mine for resources... Explore dark caves full of monsters and secret dungeons...

It's a LOT more than just creativity game with monsters.

I have unfortunately got hooked too.

I got bored of simply mining in one case and simply decided to dig a huge open-cast hole/mine from the surface on a hillside down to the bedrock.
Was rather disappointed to find only one block of diamond and not much iron-ore...

I went to caves again finding out that I manage to connect most of natural caverns around into one HUGE system .... yeah ... all great, got 3 spawners (spiders/zombies/skeletons) so I am building traps around them and will have nice supply of items from them ... well ... there's only small problem ... last time I tried to get out I spend 4 hours looking for way out
definitely need to re-design and rebuild those cavern with lots of direction labels
(not to mention nearly heart attack went I heard a zombie yell just behind me, turned out to be behind the wall, but the volume of it was ... scary)
