Yeah, you could buy s*** loads of those gift cards and sell them at ebay for the beta price and basically make 50% profit per card and people who buy them can get free updates forever. It is quite a good quick and dirty way to make money if you're willing to risk it

I'm most interested, not played SMP much up until now - mainly because of lacking alpha's features, I admit - but I'd love to try it. This sunday's a full day off, so I'd be glad to give it a go. If you'd like me on your server, of course.

How do any of you doods deal with creepers blowing up and ruining all your sh*t in Alpha? I've got fed up of them and turned the difficulty to Peaceful for now

Very smart, but what about when you're in your house/cave/hole at night and one of them's hanging around near the door, waiting to asplode as soon as you leave?

there's always a way to kill them ^_^
for example:
- hit and move back, with proper timing you move forward so when your sword is in most drawn animation the tip of it will hit crepper and move back quickly, that requires door to be placed from outside so you can hit them through the door window
- bow, easy enough
- create murder hole, hit it from below (1 block, while it does not see you, it will not explode)
- go to the roof and use on of the two first options or just leave the other way

- create fence so you can at least leave the doors safely
watch some tuts in here

I got several exits at my ... ehm ... castle
at last yesterday I spend whole day cave-ing, ended up miles away from my safeplace but manage to get back with tons of coal, iron, gold, runestone and even some diamonds

Since there's Survival in multiplayer working we should start maybe playing ?

I can't run it. On both Minecraft.net single- and multiplayer, it doesn't load but just shows a black screen. When opening up the minecraft.exe application, same issue after I login.

Java console says the following:

Can someone help me with this? The appropriate forums also have tonnes of threads about this but only filled with people complaining that they have the same issue while not delivering a solution to the problem but only to whine about it.

I'm getting annoyed by them so I revert to my always helpfull friends here.

Anyone have a clue?

What I already did was replacing the bin file with some sort of 'Fixed' version I downloaded online. This helped me once untill I rebooted. After the reboot same problem over again.
De-installing Java and then reinstall it also didn't work.

I HATE Java. Always have, even when I was developing apps for it.
