Re: [OTTD] UKRS2 - Public Alpha (pa 0.6) 19/09/10
Pikka, a question..
I started a game in 1900 and the Clerestory Carriage were in a Company Colour. I've started games at a later date and they've been a more wooden colour, not CC. Its now got to 1920 in my game and in the buy vehicle screen the Clerestory Carriage is now the wooden colour. I was wondering will the Carriages on my trains change automatically? Or will I have to do it manually, in the depot?
I'd post a screenshot to explain better but the internet on my comp is down, using my phone.

They do it automatically in a way, when you trains service the carriages as I believe it works each carriage have a chance to change colour, resulting in a steady replacement, I have at least experienced this with standard carriages and I presume the same method holds for Clerestory.

Sorry for the double post I found an error, not 100% shure if it's caused by UKRS2 but it's the only train grf I have active so one would persume (I'm using pa 0.6).
This offer just appeared, upon accepting no new vehicle appeared to purchase. I've included the date in the image if that helps...

Tends to happen if you've swapped grfs out or upgraded grfs.

Clerestory carriages will remain in their as-built livery, although some other carriage types can be repainted over time, as Lawton pointed out.
Kogut, I don't know about the depot, and what cargos in particular did you have in mind?

I think he's talking about Suger Cane, Stone, Sand, Bauxite, Metal, etc.PikkaBird wrote:Clerestory carriages will remain in their as-built livery, although some other carriage types can be repainted over time, as Lawton pointed out.

Just checked the wiki and wow, you read my mind on some of those loco choices Pikka. I am also thrilled to see the EF1 and EE1 make a reappearance in the addon pack. I actually found them remarkably useful back in the original UKRS Addon. I hate to sound like the same old stuck record, but how is progress coming on the next version? I believe I saw you comment about this a few pages back, but would it be possible to add some goods (i.e unlined black) liveries for the 2-6-0 Mogul and the 4-6-0 Jubilee (which would basically be a Black Five in freight service i suppose)?
Oh and I have the same 'issue' as Kogut, I'd very much like to use either the enlarged depot or the NH depot. I'll see if (for personal usage) break open the grf, change just the graphics, and recompile it.

I'm wondering if this set will come to include some London Underground trains (I might draw one or two).

I know, it has two - or even three - but they don't fit this set's style at all(and also, there are several more, of course).

OK, I'll see if I can get something done. I'll also have a go at fourth-rail tracks.

Re: [OTTD] UKRS2 - Public Alpha (pa 0.6) 19/09/10
I cannot guarantee they are the right dimensions (they were originally for the BR Set) but if I provided some Mk.I Coach Sprites, could they be coded as refits for the 1950s Standard and/or Express Coaches? Would you be interested in such a venture Pikka?

Yes, and no, in that order.
