Holland map

Post by SamenFelix »

I'm working on the Holland scenario. It includes the Netherlands (of course), a very small part of Germany, a big part of belgium and the east coast of England. (Harwich, Dover, ....)

The only thing I have to do now is making the hills, placing the forest and placing the industries.

I'll check which trains I used for the map when I go on.

Any suggestions are welcome

Keep the map modfree, so use a modfree Locomotion installation.

Maybe I will release it 2 times if it is finished, 1 mod-free, and 1 with mods :))

Problem is, if you have a modded Locomotion, even if you deselect mods, it will be still in the scenario, so you need a completely clean Locomotion installation, only pure the official files, otherwise modfree isnt modfree.

Crap, then I have to reinstall locomotion... :(

I will do it later, after a back-up of my object data :P
(And I will set my mods back when I 'cleaned' the scenario)

Just create one clean copy of the objdata folder and the scenario folder separately, you can do that by sorting through the dats and finding those which are first in the view files by date modified. You copy them out and rename those folders to objdata101 and scenario101 and then rename your old modded folders when you want to create a scenario using the clean folders ( all lomo will do is check for altered dats when you rename the folders and restart the programme)
There is no need to re install the programme realistically as you will have to move the modded folders otherwise's lomo will over write them

You can use Plastikman´s "Locomotion Backup tool 2.1" to create a clean objectdata folder.

You can find it @ AMI in the downloads/tools selction.

Link : http://www.amitrains.co.uk/trains.php
The only thing that is not very successful in the wireless version : Bungee Jumping 8o
Just fold at the dotted line and cut it out with a pair of scissors. If you are under the age of 16 please ask one of your parents or an adult supervisor if she/he can help you.

It works cause you can switch between objdata folders with only a few numbers, and host both folders within lomo. No need to move any files about or anything to me it seems sensible just to have one folder for the clean install and scenario's while playing modded scenario's with another so when you want to create a landscape.......change the numbers one click one or two numbers and its done!

Don't forget that was before Plastikman created his tool that is now used to do the same thing and create a clean copy of the objdata folder

I think I'm too late to make it mod-free :(

When I have my modded objdata folder, I deselect all the non-default trains/tracks/signals/stations...
Then I back-uped my objdata with Plastikman's tool, replaced it for the default folder.
If I load the landscape I get the error Unable to find Maglev....

Can I do something to load it without putting the objdata files (the modded ones) back?

(sorry if my English is worse, I'm still learning :))

This look great!! Please dont forget the "Zaanstreek" with industrie (food) and the windmills. I hope you will have room for it due to the scale.

Refinery`s in Harwich too I think :)

But can someone tell me how I can make it modfree, I said earlier here that I get an error because I made the map when my mods were in my objdata map. When i cleaned my objdata I get the error that it misses some mods :(
