Trackst.dat number question

Post by Polar-eX »

Hi,

Ive red the .dat tutorial. Great stuff and easy to handle. Thanks for that! Got Zimms Depots and they ROCK! thank you Zimm
As i read in Plastikman's remark there is a limit of items: Signals, platforms ect. I also understand that the max amout of platforms is 7: 0-6.
But how do i know which platform belongs to what number in the .dat file? When i openup the editor i can see the scrolldown list off all platform i can choose. Is this the same order as in the .dat file?
For example: i dont want to overwrite the cityplatform, in the editor it is on the third option = <useobject desc="station[3]" class="15">TRSTAT4 </useobject>?

There's always the tried (sort of) method of trial and error. Just remember to keep backups so you can undo it again afterwards.

If i am correct the editor in Locomotion, sort them by in alphabetic order with the .dat filename. (Long time ago i played Locomotion for fun.)
