Oh dear...

Incredibly selfish of him though, considering you'd think he'd know the effect such a move would have on the train driver and so on.

Incredible. I can think of a dozen less painful and messy (for others to clean up) ways to do myself in.

There's that old saying that money is the root of all evil. I disagree. First of all, the quote is wrong- its the love of money that's supposedly the root of all evil. But to me, it's selfishness that's the root of all evil. Being totally self-absorbed and caring only for your own desires. One might guess that committing suicide in this fashion was a reflection of the serious personality flaws that led up to that moment.
