OpenTTD on Tablet - Cannot move around in-game

I recently converted my asus eee 701 into a tablet:

OpenTTD runs beautifully at 800480 windowed. The trouble is, the on-screen keyboard (which is the only such input for the device) doesn't have cursor keys, and the click-and-hold to right click default system action is completely unusable in-game, so there's no way I can navigate the camera.

I have examined all the in-game options, and exhausted an internet search, but I can't find a way to enable left-click to drag viewport navigation, or horizontal and vertical scrollbars, which would also be more than suitable for my tablet.

I am leaving OpenTTD installed in the hopes that someone will be able to offer me a solution to what would otherwise be a *perfect* tablet gaming experience. I love my TTD and can't wait until I can carry it around on public transport :-p

Well, I don't have a tablet PC or even a laptop, but there is a setting in Advanced Settings/Interface/Interaction called 'Left-click scrolling'. Isn't it what you're looking for?
