It's better if we keep setting to hard, medium or low, players could cheat by lowering values like breakdowns and when sending in turn it on.

But I can also create such page, as a part of the member section or something

SHADOW-XIII: "if there won't be anyone to create a page then I can"

That's great! something like the "offical TTD league site"! if u think it's much work, everyone could help in it or something like this...

I have no idea about programming, but, is it possible a little web program wich read in a savegame the total points, number of trains and those things to have the list of all submitted savegames?

well, while there is no site, we can use the forum, like Emeric Pro say...

BobXP: "why not just make it so that the scenario only works with the app?"

Wow! everything u can make to create an "official standard league scenario" will be great!! I don't know what an app is but sounds good! :D

Try to add a city or another changes in the Emeric Pro's scenario and try to make the app!!

... I like play with the AI! His stupidity makes improve yourself!

*(How can u make the white squares with the text?
 )

I already said, I could do it in JavaScript.

Nope :(

Sure.

An app is abreviated of application, which means program.
Try to add a city or another changes in the Emeric Pro's scenario and try to make the app!!
Er, what???????????????

Oooooooooooooook...

You mean this?
Put quote tags around it.

Code: Select all

Or, if you mean this, put code tags around it.

If you're planning to use server-side JavaScript on ASP, then yes you could. Otherwise, no you couldn't, it's not technically possible.
Patatas Fritas cn Chorizo wrote:That's great! something like the "offical TTD league site"! if u think it's much work, everyone could help in it or something like this...
I could do something like this. I may well do it later this week, just as a bit of fun (a break from TTDAlter, TTDX Editor and the like).
I have no idea about programming, but, is it possible a little web program wich read in a savegame the total points, number of trains and those things to have the list of all submitted savegames?
That's possible, yes.

Oh, and by the way: the Cht: Used sign cheat lets you know if anyone has used any cheats:
4.1.4 Cheat Detection
Cht: Used

Use this to show which of the sign cheats have been used in the current game. It is intended for competitions where the use of some of the sign cheats is not allowed. The value is a hexadecimal bit mask of the following hexadecimal bit values:

Bit Value Cheat

0 1 Money
1 2 Year
2 4 Tracks
3 8 Used
4 10 OwnCrossing
5 20 Renew
6 40 DumpMemory (obsolete)
7 80 AllNonStop
8 100 NoNonStop
9 200 ServInt
10 400 ResetStation
11 800 AllEngines
12 1000 ClearPreSig
13 2000 RemoveEngines
14 4000 ClearGhosts

The value 8 for the "used" cheat will always be present because you have to use the cheat to see it, after all.
In addition, TTDX Editor 1.10.0014 will 'earmark' games that have been edited. However, if you use it on the scenario for playing, the saved games would then be marked as edited (you'd have to reset the edited bits, which is quite possible).

I already said I COULD DO THAT! 4 times as well!

That's possible, yes.
Didn't know that :!:

Yea, forgot about that.

How and where do you plan on storing all the data? JavaScript is a client-side language. It is executed on the user's machine, NOT on the server which is where code of this type needs to be executed! You can use JavaScript with ASP on the server, but do you really know how to do this? To be honest, I'm doubtful.

Why does it need to be executed on the server?

WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO STORE THE BEEPING DATA?!?

Sorry, but I know what I'm talking about, and it's annoying when people who don't know as much about it try and pretend they know it all. Grrr...

And how do you plan to do that with client-side JavaScript?

..which simply writes a line of text into the user's version of the page. It never touches the server at all.

What? :?: :?

Right, so when someone signs up, how are you going to store the data so that other people, on the other side of the world perhaps, can read it?

BobXP, it seems like orudge really knows what he's talking about...
Anyway, thanx for the usefull information about Quote and app!!!
"Try to add a city or another changes in the Emeric Pro's scenario and try to make the app!!"
Edit the EmericPro's scenario with the TTDscenario editor and make some changes, make that app and submitt it. By this way, no one will have the no-app-scenario! :)

Ok Patatas person, but first you'll need to tell me what switches to enable (or rather, just attach the cfg file :D )
