hey, a league with ttdpath?
I'm get bored with play alone... the 2players mode doesn't work so well, so... why don't someone make a good scenario and we play it with the same .cfg until 2070? The winner will win our respect and admiration

well... the winner should get the highest score in the game, isn't it?
um...
I think the game should be hard to make money in the early stage.
( because when we get the money, we can do everything we want. )
all related industry should have a big distance between them.
and.... there should have many many small cities!!!
( because cities can make rail construction difficult )
try to make the map hard to make route.
more hill... and make it nearly impossible to have flat land to make airport.
( the other idea is.... no industry!!! everyone should try to transport passenger to make $ )
um...

That's a good idea, I'm in too
But maybe we should wait for the first beta version before starting?
[Edit]
I think the map should have two separate islands with enough water between to force us using planes & boats (if forbidding "longbridges" switch)
Also sign cheats should be authorized (but cost) because changing tracks is so painful if not.
But people will have to be honest enough not to use cht: money, cht:year, cht:resetstation, and all those cheats that help a lot
[edit 2]
actually i just created a quuick map.
Here is a zip with the map, a cfg and list of new grf used.
What do you think?
(I made the map in half an hour, so it has few industries, but i think it's more challenging.)

Luzi82: "well... the winner should get the highest score in the game, isn't it?"
yea, but maybe it will be funny make special prices!! like the most beautiful train-web, the most friendly (who is awesome for all cities)... or the best AI-likely-train-web!!!
Well, we have time to talk about this... u know, all ideas are wellcome!!!

yea, we can make some list of rules, like don't use the scenario-editor and things like this... but, u know, if I use the scenario-editor I'll make sure of don't leave evidences!!!
It's easy to see if there is a new city, but if u put a new industry or something there are no way to know anything... so, like u say, people will have to be honest...
I like your scenario! there are no easy-to-connect coal mines and is so mountainous... well, let's see what the people say!!

Ehem, I could make a very small app that disabled TTDPatches Sign cheats. But then ppl would have to be honest to use the app... hey... why not just make it so that the scenario only works with the app? That's a good idea actually, whoever has the map send it to me (pm or email) and I'll make an app which can enable/disable any of TTDPatches optionsPatatas Fritas cn Chorizo wrote:Emeric Pro: "But people will have to be honest enough not to use cht:"

I think, if we enable the cheating, there will exist many gray area...
Althrough cheating is the best method to perform rail rebuilding, but it use bugs in TTD system, and may not test our real ability...
( well, if you fully make use of the bug, no cheating is needed at all )
it may be nice to make a patch only for the game, but it takes time.
just use a standard cfg file with disable cheating will be easy solution.

Actually 130 years of game is enough to reduce the difference between cheaters and non-cheaters.
So i'm gonna make a new topic, with first post showing results of the league. And anyway even if we make a soft to forbid cheating, there will always be ways to cheat... I don't see the users of these forums as cheaters, everyone loves too much ttdx to do so. It will be OK anyway

That would be kewl... But I'm not skilled enough for this. Before it's done we could begin on the forums.SHADOW-XIII wrote:well if anyone want he can create a website with PHP to store records, etc ... there also can start chellenges ... ... say a month to sending records ...
if there won't be anyone to create a page then I can
Also, is it possible to store difficulty settings with the scenario (I know scenarios keep options like currency etc... but it seems that it doesn't keep difficulty serttings)?
I think playing with "hard" settings but without AI is good. AI is so bad.
