Primary reason is that I don't like it myself :D
PS: And I stopped the propaganda to support Dave Worley since he got a nice new red hat now.[/color]

And if you're a n00b with blender, how did you manage to make the previous version?
I agree, it fits in perfectly. Concentrate on something different like the other bank. If you have made such an improvement with the other bank you can always remodel the tropical bank.

Lord: I agree with other guys..your tropical bank is wonderful..maybe is better to replace the temperate bank..
For all: I would clarify that my answers don't have a polemic tone...if that shows, I want excuse with you...probably this is due to my bad english...
I've added: doors, fence, changed windows, walkways, gru...unfortunately I can't modify the roof, because a strange thing happened..maybe the images show clearly the situation:
this is the blender file
Image
and this is the related rendered image:
in practice, I have delete the roof because it create a strange overlapping effect...and although in the model there isn't a roof, blender render it all the same...
if I try to re-add the roof, then the overlaping effect appears...
BTW..I hope you like it...

I've got a couple of suggestions for the dock and especially the roof:
1. Are real large windows, which of course are really dirty and may contain cracks or are broken.
2. Are large metal plates and have a for example a dark gray color.
3. Is a large fan, I've attached a miniture version, but you will get the idea.

You could also place these things on the roof top:

4. I've taken a bite out of the building. It is suppost to be a loading area with cars and maybe a semi-truck (the blue lines) in front of a hangar door.
5. To make the crane more visible, I've made steel yellow girders where the crane is hanging on. I would also be nice to have a control cabin. Also the crane should have a brighter color, like red for example.

6. The yellow thing in the lower middle of the picture is a door with a fire escape stair

Some details can be added with GIMP. For example, I have added a line in the border of the roof.

Thank you for the preview maquinista.

The problem with texturing for me is that I either get all the nice textures, but the building looks too clean and sterile,

Wally is a freeware program used for making textures and exports to many formats, including png. It lends itself extremely well at making tiled textures. You can edit the texture even while inside the tiled view mode. The button with the little squares is what you are looking for here. If I am not mistaking you can define your own colour palette but it has been some time that I have used the program, so forgive me if I am wrong.
Official site for wally: http://www.telefragged.com/wally/
There are some great tutorials to be found here too.

Download links are broken and I had a hard time finding a link that still worked.

Grab it while you can and hold on to it like it was a lump of gold. I promise, you you will not regret it.
/me is happy happy me has Wally again.

Not, there are two views, the other is rotated 90º.

If you rotate the camera, won't that mess up the shadows / lighting?

my trick is using an empty obj and assign it to everyone as a parent (just like the 'helper' obj holds the 'camera' and the 'sun')
then rotating = changing 0 to 90 only on the parent, its very useful if you working with few tiles/objects simultaneously.

I've resolved..thanks maquinista...
Does anyone answer at my question about the buildings of farm...
"...to replace the sprites 2108 and 2109 (the house in the farm), can I design 2 distinct buildings in 2 distinct sprites?
Because I see that in the original there is one building that crosses 2 sprites..."
