With param equal to 13 they would close if
1) mines are exhausted
2) unserviced industries
3) special cases (like farm/forest in town, would report)
If none of this is correct, provide a savegame please

P.S. For ECS basic vector it is the second parameter, not the first (almost all the vectors), and for town vector it is the 4-th parameter.

I'm wondering how to use the ECS vectors right.
I'm currently in a desert/tropic scenario and if I activate the ECS Town Vector, there are no water sources or towers available. Which means I don't get those desert towns to grow.
Is it intended like this ? If I only activate the Agricultural and Wood Vectors it's working fine.

You have to wait for ECS vectors beta 6 (currently in development), this issue is already fixed there.
If its important for you to save it RIGHT NOW, you can use the current dev version from http://george.zernebok.net/temp/ecs%2031/ (ECS houses only works with parameter 5)

Ah, thanks that works well.

A question in more general would be if towns still need water to grow if there is no water industry ? Or is the need for a commodity disabled if it isn't available ?

ECS Houses have water towers that accepts water in towns

Hi all,
i have instaled this game after one year break. I downloaded and instaled some graphics(ECS,road vehicles,trains,planes,bridges,stations...). I started random map(512x512,year 1925,low industries). Everything works good, but after several years many industries began to close. Now is year 1938 and about 90% unused industries are closed and i have nothing to do. Where is mistake?

I am sorry for my bad english, i am czech, but can someone make "pack" of graphics with new industries witch works? I spent 2 days of finding graphics and i still cant play :cry: or if you can zip your game(data) and send me them to my email?

but all industries /all from 1 or more types/ at one time? it closed about 20 industries in one day /in-game day/

there is a bug in beta 5 that increases closure probability. This bug is fixed in beta 6. A test version of beta 6 is located here http://george.zernebok.net/temp/ecs%2031/

Train set, that has gear ration, causes it. Disable gear ratio for train set (see read me for train set)

Hello All,

i continue playing OTTD after a "long long time" and i have to say, this is amazing stuff. In installed some Newgrfs, and in the first view everything is running fine. But, after installing all ECS vectors and setting up the parameters, i think that doesnt work as i want. I typed a "15" (1+2+4+8) in the parameter-box (ingame) of ottd, but it seems not to work. The industries havr still accept-limits for cargos, and the mines are not endless. Is it wrong? Is it incompatible? I really want to play with this amazing stuff!

Im working with the ottd 1.0 RC3.

Setting the parameters most likely only works for new games. Or for industries build after you've set those parameters.

I always test new grfs/settings/parameters at a new generated map.

Provide a save game please and a list of industry types that do not work.
Remember, for ECS basic vector it's the second parameter, and for town vector - the last one.

Thats it! Thanks for the tip, i watched the wiki but i did not get that there more than 1 parametres for those 2 vectors. The "resources left" is now static. :bow:
