Slight Problem with locotool (again)

Post by kingmush360 »

I have been making some new, stock for locomotion, and tried
converting the Ce 2/2 tram to run on narrow guage and to be Rack
compatible. I finally got to the stage where I can select it in
scenario Editor, i got in to the scenario i just mad to use the tram
and it wasn't in the list of build able trains. And before you say
anything, i was looking in the correct section, i was in the narrow
gauge part of the menu. Is this like the station problem? Or is
there something else.

This is the code for the trams useobject section. Is this correct?

<useobject desc="tracktype" class="17">TRACKNG </useobject> <--- The trackng is class="17", is it?
<useobject desc="trackmod" class="19">RDEXCAT1</useobject> <--- what does this mean, over head electric wires?
<useobject desc="rackrail" class="16">TREXRACK</useobject> <--- Rackrail

I would think that is the issue "RDEXCAT1" is probably the type of overhead electric wires used by tram tracks, so how can a vehicle be using tram overhead wires while on narrowguage track? :P

I can't be sure but I think you should change it to "TREXCAT1".

edit, you should probs change the class to 17 or something aswell.

Thanks again noofnoof, you are my saviour today! Answering all my problems.

Anywho, thank you for the pointer of the overhead electrics,
but the class="17" is for the Narrow Gauge. In the other topic
you posted in, there are two NG locos in there with class="17"

so... meh, i have not a clue.

thanks once again (feel warm and fuzzy inside now?)

Erm.. Error.

Trexcat1 does not exist. What is the Narrow gauge one?

NGexcat1 perhaps, and wouldn't the HG 4/4 have it in it's xml,
but would that be compatible with the tram?

Your right (mine was small), but now, i have this:
What is the road doing there?

Edit: Road Train :]

So no ideas then, so converting the Ce 2/2 from
tram track to NG is all but impossible?
