Shame it isn't the whole journey, it jumps a fair way at 27 seconds in...

Hanslow to Colwich it was mentioned on the SimSig forums

Where's the second stop? Stafford? Certainly stops at Crewe, Preston, Lancaster, (Oxenholme?) and Carlisle and obviously Glasgow central. The bit over Shap made me feel quite ill and at times I was convinced I was going backwards. Interesting though.

First stop Crewe.

Crewe, Warrington, Wigan, Preston, Oxenholme (dunno if it actually stops...), Carlisle, Glasgow.

Sacro - tell SimSig: It's before Colwich... Just short of Lichfield Trent Valley in fact.

Think they cut the crap (i.e. the flat boring south) to get it under five mins.

Sparkly innit.

The ECML is flat and boring.

WCML is the way forward.

I'd probably call it the way northward myself

I saw this the other day, quite nifty indeed. Almost felt a bit of motion sickness going through the bendy bits of the WCML through Cumbria and up through Dumfries and Galloway. :P

Some routes are completely boring to watch, especially LUL ones which for the majority are immersed in tunnel. I fell asleep after watching a minute of a minute of a Circle Line cabin-video...

*waves and grins manically*

I love LUL drivers eye views. It is interesting to see what is actually in the tunnels that you (as a passenger) would normally never see or notice.

Hmmm - some bits of the Circle I'd like to see, eg: Triangle Junction, around Aldgate and Baker Street where there are important and intricate junctions. However the stopping and starting within tunnels I find considerably less interesting. But then that's just me of course :)

Interestingly, he London to Glasgow in 5 minutes video was (when I last checked) one of the top 5 viewed videos on the BBC Website!

Not surprised, its an interesting vid. I've never been sad enough to buy a cabride video/dvd (plus they are way too expensive) but I do like the 1970 ECML cabride at the start of 'Get Carter', complete with Welwyn Tunnels, Deltics, and I think a view of Doncaster. And a great soundtrack called 'Carter takes a train'.

Great video find! Would be interesting to see New York to Chicago in five minutes, or Chicago to Los Angeles in ten minutes! Just a thought.
