Yet another server problem

Post by enjee »

Hello there,

Let me first introduce myself, I am EnJee from The Netherlands and have searched almost all the topics about the problem I have, read the wiki thoroughly and did everything I could, still I can't seem to get my dedicated server on the internet (only local).

I am running Vista and version 0.6.3., Hosting on my laptop, of which I am also playing...

I am behind a 'livebox' from my internet provider, and behind a router from linksys.

Let me post some screenies of my config:

The dedicated server message: (common asked question about this subject but can't find the fix)

The port used in your config is 3739, you've forwarded port 3738.
Don't panic - My YouTube channel - Follow me on twitter (@XeryusTC) - Play Tribes: Ascend - Tired of Dropbox? Try SpiderOak (use this link and we both get 1GB extra space)

I have forwarded both 3738 and 3739, read somewhere that that might help :P

Are you sure you're not forwarding external port 3738 to internal port 3739?

hmmm not sure, but I cannot fill in a IP adress for example, should I just fill in 3739 again? 2 times?

Edit: Changed it to 2 times 3739 everywhere and still got the same problem.

If you have two routers, you need to forward from the first router to the second router.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

I also disabled windows firewall...

now I really don't know what to do :(

anyone any suggestion?

just for information: Livebox IP: 192.168.1.1
Linksys ip: 192.168.0.252
my local ip: 192.168.0.102

any mistake you guys can find?

the connection enters the livebox first, then the router

Okay guys I fixed it, for everyone who will read this topic later: You will need to forward your 2nd router to your WAN IP (192.168.1.10) for me as you can see... the other router needs to forward the port to you!

thanks for the replies everyone !!! really happy now :)
