Economy is definitely not steady
Despite I have the economy set to 'steady', the industries in my game tend to close. Is this caused by some command of the patch that I don't know? I really need to avoid my industries from shutting down.

Haha, the indutries closing really has nothing to do with the economy
Having the economy on fluctuating just means that the entire industry production rate cuts in half every once in a while... The industries closing, I think, is more of a random thing... it occurs more to unserviced indutries, but it will close a serviced industry occassionally.

Things to do:
1) Bend
2) Cheese It

Huh? That's not supposed to happen. I have never experienced something like that.sultana wrote: I think, is more of a random thing... it occurs more to unserviced indutries, but it will close a serviced industry occassionally.

The oil wells in my game close despite I am taking away the few production they have.G-Klav wrote:Huh? That's not supposed to happen. In TT original this was controlled with the steady Economy type. I also noticed that the industries production in TTD is way lower than in TT. The monthly production of most industries barely can fill up a few lorries.
All Fluctuating means is that occasionally there will be a Recession that lasts a while, in which all industries cut production in half. Each industry has different factors that will determine whether it will increase or decrease its production at times based on whether it's being serviced and for how long since it was last serviced. For instance, the oil wells in Temperate will pretty much always decrease production no matter what you do to them, they have a very biased factor. However, coal mines have fairly equal chances of increasing and decreasing, with a slight bias towards increasing, especially when serviced. (from what I've seen)
Each industry has a certain number assigned as well; when TTD tries to decrease its production and that would bring its monthly output below this number, it closes.

Use TTD Alter to up the production of all the industries. In temperate, the oil wells close down no matter what you do, as they get replaced by oil rigs.Andrex wrote: The oil wells in my game close despite I am taking away the few production they have.
