Wow, I am truly impressed by the progress some of you guys made! Normally AviatorAI won without doubt. Now it LOST (!). There was a strong battle between Jinjaba, RobotAI and AdmiralAI, and Jinjaba clearly won. Really impressive job guys! I can't wait what you guys come up with next :)

(Ps: yes, new tournament is done ;))

Oh no, I missed it. I don't suppose if I can get a new TAR to you quickly, you could run it again?

Thanks.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think this was the first time a purely bus AI won.

You are 100% correct. The airplanes failed me :(

I'll take your carefully worded silence to mean "I'd rather not" ;) That's OK!

I'll wait until the next tournament. Hopefully I'll have v2 out by then!

Haha :) I run the tournament when ever I feel a new AI makes a chance .. so when yours works, I for sure will relaunch the tournament :)

But I just notice that even in your SVN you didn't fix the problem :( :( How can I now run a new tournament? :)

*Oooh, he checked my SVN!!*

OK I've edited the TAR by hand here at work! I've uploaded v1.1 to the PathZilla thread. Please rerun the tournament at your next convenience! :)

As for SVN, I've already started making changes to my local copy for v2 and its a PITA to try to manage multiple version on the same machine, in the same IDE.

I think there might be an issue with the labelling in the Poule rounds.

Looking at today's match (2008-07-29 15:18:22) in Round 1 Pool 1 :

Jinjaba is listed as last on in the 2x2 grid section and also last in the details below when clicking on it. However Jinjaba won both rounds. with a value of approximately what was written in the top box. Is it possible that the labelling for this is part of the table is incorrect? (though Jinjaba was correctly selected to go onto the next round)

Jinjaba won the second match, but lost the first match with a company value of around 0. It is selected to go to the next round based on the fact that it won 1 of the 2 matches. The average company value is therefore correct. (Jinjaba had the lowest average company value in that pool)

I know you're busy TrueBrain, but could we have a re-run at your soonest convenience?

I'm sure GeekToo and Yexo are just as eager as I am to see how the changes we have made over the last two weeks have affected things.

Thanks very much :)

Hey all,

I've been watching the results page of the tournament and was wondering if it was possible to add the used vehicle types to the results. As I see a big difference in amount of opcodes and think that might be the difference.

Could we perhaps see a tournament run with OtviAI and Rondje added to the competitors list? We're very curious how it will perform on this tournament (before you guys start adapting the openttd code to our ehhhh creative use of game mechanics ;) ).

I know you mentioned you won't run a tournament any more because of some obscure 'feature' in Squirrel which can lead to deadlocks. But quoting from your earlier statement:
Haha :) I run the tournament when ever I feel a new AI makes a chance .. so when yours works, I for sure will relaunch the tournament :)
I hope I can appeal to you to run a new tournament with the latest version of my AI: NoCab (http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=40203). I think I made some big improvements and I would very much like to see how this translates into a scoring for this tournament.

/me gets on his knees: "PLEEEEEEEEAAAAASE????"

Hope you'll consider it, thanks anyways!
